We visited Troy's Authentic Greek Cuisine for dinner and were delighted. The whole family enjoyed the varied menu -- there was something for everyone. It's a very pleasant restaurant, not overly crowded or noisy, with tablecloths, linen napkins and good food and service. The prices for San Diego are incredibly reasonable. Many San Diego restaurants are crowded and very expensive... More

Troy's is in a large mall, but is a restaurant with booths and tables and not a coffee shop. It specializes in Greek food, but offers American food as well, including meatloaf and turkey dinners. There's a great lunch special offering about six choices. Daily specials are offered. I like the lamb dinner a lot, coming with deliciious green beans,... More

We live in La Mesa, so would like to find a good Greek restaurant (with beer/wine) closer to us than our favorite-Jerry's Greek Island in Seaport Village. So last week we tried Troy's on Friars Road. The exterior looks inviting, inside they have twinkling lights, a Greek mural, Greek music playing, nice tablecloths, so we started by being delighted. We... More

Who knew such a great place was / is across the street from Kaiser Hospital? Food is very good, great Greek, good fast service, and a friendly place to get away from the hospital. And they do breakfast. A good breakfast not the cardboard you get at the chain store in front of center. You can walk there too!

Not knowing where to go can be a bit of a problem. You want to make sure everyone is happy and you don't want to waste your money on tasteless food and mediocre service. Someone suggested Troy's and I'm like, "Who?" I can't believe I have not been here. It's in a strip mall with other restaurants which all look... More

We ate brunch here on a busy Saturday. We were seated right away, friendly service. Food was delivered quickly. My husband had eggs Benedict which he declared were very good. I had chicken souvlaki and I will be going back again to Troy's to order it soon. Delicious grilled chicken kebobs, tzatziki sauce, rice, steamed carrots, salad and pita bread.... More

This is pretty close to authentic Greek food. Now mind you, you're not likely to get really authentic Greek anywhere other than a Greek festival in the US because the American palette is picky... but these guys come close. The service is super friendly, the kitchen is pretty fast usually, and there is almost always a table available when you... More

Troys is a frequent stop of ours, we love the atmosphere and the authentic food. We go to Troys about 3 times a month and there food is yummy. I love the lemon chicken soup they make from scratch along with all the Greek favorites. They also serve American cuisine that is also delicious. They have entertainment on Saturday night... More

I was a first time visit and was impressed. They have a wide choice or traditional Greek dishes. I chose one of the dinner specials--cabbage rolls, which was very good. I also had the Avgolemono, the lemon-egg, chicken soup which is an iconic Greek dish. It was excellent. The dishes are reasonably priced and the ambience with linen napkins is... More

This restaurant was recommended to us for breakfast, so we thought we would give it a try for the New Year. We arrived and seated immediately and our waitress was prompt to take our drink order. Inquired to see if they had a Saturday Brunch, but it is only on Sunday's. Otherwise, champagne is $2.95 a glass. It took a... More
