Nicer than a hole in the wall, but hardly a date night place, I've been going to Saigon Restaurant since I moved to San Diego 22 years ago. You don't have to drive up to Kearny Mesa for delicious, authentic Vietnamese food. Good friendly fast service, great prices, big portions ... yeah the place is noisy and bright but that... More

Visited with grand daughter to have her sample A different type of food. The restaurant was crowded with people from the neighborhood on a Wednesday evening. Always a good sign. Food, service and cost were very good. If you are interested in Vietnam style food this is a excellent choice.

This place has some pretty solid vietnamese food. We just got a set course with caramelized fish, sour fish soup, fried pork with garlic, beef in oyster sauce and rice. Everything was good!

I have had the Pho here several times and was never disappointed, so I decided to try something else this time. I ordered the equilivant to Singapore Noodles and found the noodles over cooked and not enough curry for my pallettt. Stick with the Pho and you will never go wrong.

Had dinner here with my parents and uncle for Tet. The food was very tasty and very clean! The prices were extremely reasonable and the portions were very large. The service was very good! I eat Vietnamese Food at least once a week in Los Angeles and am very picky about it. These guys do a very good job and... More

My favorite thing here used to be the Vietnamese Egg Rolls, then I tried the orange Chicken and the Pho, All Amazing. They seem to know me even on the phone. When you walk in for a to go order, I am always handed a glass a of water and a seat to wait for my meal. Always kind and... More

Of friend of mine (who is a frequent diner at Saigon) took me here for lunch on a weekday. I don't think I would have ever walked into the place on a whim on my own as it doesn't look like much from the outside, but was pleasantly surprised when we walked through the door into the bright, clean interior.... Truly exceptional. I don't know why they say it's a bare bones decor. It's clean and rather pretty, not a hole in the wall compared to many other pho places. This one distinguishes itself with the vast variety of dishes, flavored and spiced to perfection. The service is the usual, a bit formal and a bit stiff, but they will... More

Don't bother ordering take out. It took far longer than ordering in. We came in and ordered and waited nearly 30 minutes for our order to be ready.
