Call ahead for reservations. Reasonably priced. Fun to cook the food over the table grills. Small but quaint.
Very good food. You do walk out of here smelling like BBQ though. Japanese BBQ is like Korean BBQ without all the side extra dishes. They do offer some side items but you pay for each additional item ordered. I recommend the beef parts which...More
In march 2015, a business meeting was held in San Diego. I decided to try Tsuruhashi Yakiniku Restaurant. It was a small restaurant with only about 10-12 tables. Kobe beef was ordered. It just melted in your tonge. My friend enjoyed napa kimji or soup....More
If you are from Japan and miss yakiniku this place is for you! All employees are from Japan and will speak to you in English or Japanese. The food and customer service are all Japanese and is worth the trip to Convoy Street!

I love this place!! its a tepanyaki style japanese place. You get your meat and cook it on the grill in your table. They have really good deals on family packages on week days. They also close the kitchen at 12am :)
I'd go again. It's small, so likely best to visit during the week (I went on a Tuesday night). The prices are reasonable as compared to Korea House because you don't get complimentary side dishes. It's like the Ikea of an Asian BBQ restaurant --...More
