We had dinner at cafe Chloe tonight, we had been here 4 years ago when we visited the area last. We enjoyed our dinner then and had high expectations for tonight, let me tell you we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious! We will have to back and try breakfast and lunch!

Completely wonderful space which you will not find anywhere else in this city. Part of the East Village development making downtown San Diego a bit more trendy and a little less touristy. Cafe Chloe is small, intimate and completely welcoming with rustic hard wood floors, a rounded marble bistro bar, nooks for small tables everywhere in this petite space which... More

Great find slightly off the beaten tourist track. My steak frites was cooked beautifully, and the shoestring fries were some of the most flavorful I've ever had. My husband's salmon was equally well prepared. The pumpkin bread pudding was fantastic, and the caramel ice cream was heavenly. The Tokaji dessert wine that was the suggested pairing with the bread pudding... More

Brunch at Cafe Chloe is a must in the East Village. It's like being transported to a Parisian café. We enjoyed the steak tartare and the croque madame was divine. Our waitress Tiffany was fantastic. My mother said it was the "best brunch she ever had" and that she "could eat every meal here.". The whole staff, meal and setting... More

Very tastefully appointed corner cafe with eclectic menu (pancakes next to steak tartare), yet very tasty, though a bit pricey. Kind and attentive wait staff. Ate in the loft, romantic, but cramped, especially when a second couple chose the location. Had to impose on them every time one had to get up. Nevertheless, very good food in a nice atmosphere.

Cafe Chloe deserves a 100/5 rating. When you walk in you feel as if you've teleported to France. The food, service and ambiance are truly flawless! The wine and beer selection is phenomenal, and most of them are all imported from Europe. Whether you're going for a meal or just a glass of wine. This place is a must!

We were looking for a place near our hotel and found this great little cafe. The staff were so nice and helpful - that perfect combination of providing you service without being overwhelmed. We had some wonderful wine, the little gems salad was very tasty (love anchovies!), and then steak/frites were over the top yummy. We had the salmon too... More

We chose to try Café Chloe on a very hot day because of restaurant week, without knowing it does not have air conditioning. The food was excellent, and the service good (apologetic about the heat), but we did not linger!

Delicious at every step! The cheese plate was amazing.. Compote perfectly flavored.. Honeycomb was succulent.. And the pepper crusted Brie a wonderful selection. Duck confit was done right.. And the cauliflower purée with lentils was not only artful but deliciously composed. We also had mussels... Which were delicious.. But the thin fries soaking in the mussel sauce were equally as... The cheese plate was a pleasure. We sat on the patio people watching and enjoying a great selection of wine and food. Our waiter was super friendly and the general manager stopped by twice to make sure we were happy. Great experience.
