The food was just OK. And the service was nothing special. I'd recommend looking for other places to get your Mexican food fix in San Diego.

Dropped by for Sunday brunch. It was quiet as the Chargers were on TV so everyone was at the sports bars. The Frittatas and Quesadillas were quite good. Chips and salsas were kept replenished. Service was friendly and efficient. Nice spot for people watching.

I visited La Fiesta, in the Gaslamp, with a friend a few nights ago. This was my first visit, but it was the second visit for my friend whom recommended that we stop here for dinner on that faithful night. Iowa is where I reside, but when I’m in San Diego, seeing how Iowa is landlocked and Midwestern, I tend... More

I was instructed by a couple people to go to Taco el Gordo, but unfortunately was told by my hotel bell boy that the new marina location was not yet open. I ended up at La Fiesta instead, mainly because it looked like a nice patio to people watch in the charming Gaslamp district. The staff were nice and accommodating... More

This is a charming little restaurant in the beautiful Gas Lamp District. There's a small outside patio with heaters above, so it's really cozy. As city restaurant outside patios seem to be something rather rare in the US (at least compared to Europe), we really enjoyed this place, watching passers-by and listening to the sounds of the city while having... I was sitting outside. The service was ok, no complains there. I had the guacamole and the short rib barbacoa. The presentation was nice. The guacamole was nice but nothing you will think of the next day. The barbacoa was simply dull. Considering the price point the whole experience was average.

Wow.. service A+, food A+.. We are from Australia and we really wanted to try some authentic Mexican food. We found the right place! Our waiter was so friendly and helpful, other staff in between were also nice. We ordered so many different meals and shared amongst each other so we could all try something different. Even my fussy youngest... More

We enjoyed that this restaurant was set in the Gas Lamp District, and therefore made for a good place to stop for lunch and watch the foot traffic go by and listen to the activities. The food was fine, and the service was pleasant. They did create a special order burrito for me, however it took two tries to get... More

We were in San Diego for the weekend and wanted some good Mexican food. Reviews for Old Town restaurants were not very good. We tried La Fiesta based on the reviews. Each of us had Great Meals and the food was seasoned perfectly. Definitely will go back when we are in San Diego.
