Good food, friendly people, and a nice place to get together. Been at Searsucker both dinner with wife and for a dinner party for 20. Everything runs smoothly. Recommend the Grilled Octopus and the Duck Pot Pie. If in San Diego, highly recommend Searsucker.

This was my third visit to this restaurant as my past two experiences were memorable. Although I did not dislike my meal this time, I found it certainly took a dip in quality and presentation. Whereas before the overall quality encroached that of a true fine dining experience, alas this visit gave me more the impression of a restaurant trying... More

I would have gone 5 stars but our menu choices were a bit off the mark. (Could have been bad decisions on our point). The cocktails were house concoctions and were great ,staff was attentive but not obtrusive and the atmosphere is fun gaslamp quarter eclectic. We chose small plates to share, but some were not all that great. Sometimes... More

Located at the heart of Gas Lamp in downtown, Searsucker is a great restaurant for all occasions! The menu has a wide range of choices, which are all delicious and mouth watering. Every dish is presented in a creative and attractive way. I love dining here. The service is always on point!

This was recommended to us by a friend....it definitely didn't disappoint. The place has a nice vibe with the music turned up and a trendy crowd. We didn't see very many senior citizens as I think it would be a little loud for them. The Peter Rabbit cocktail is a must along with the beef tartar. If you can find... More

I had heard about the Duck fat fires here and just HAD to try them. Service was good, the staff are nice, our waitress came by often to see if we needed anything.. I was a little disappointed in the fries.. they seemed very much like ordinary fries.. maybe my expectations were too high. my friends lunch was great, overall... More

I came her on a recommendation and I was not disappointed. I had the steak tartare which had a beautiful texture, although the flavour was a bit strong with the mustard and capers. It was still a very nice dish. Next I had the grilled octopus which was fantastic. The octopus was just right, still crisp but not chewy with... More

Place is a little pricey for us, but if you go during happy hour (Weekdays 4:30-7:00) you'll be okay. There were 4 of us. We had cocktails, duck fries, cobb salad, crab cakes, and mussels(a big portion). Everything was great. Negatives, you have to sit at the bar to get the happy hour deals. That can be problematic at times.... More

Conveniently located in the gas lamp district. Has indoor and outdoor eating area with a large bar and numerous large screen tvs. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Also, the restaurant and restrooms were clean. Service was attentive and friendly for our brunch. We started with the hot, fresh cinnamon bun with a bottle of champagne mimosa ($22... More

Really cool spot on Gas Lamp district. Food was lovely - we had main course and dessert with cocktails and wine. It wasn't cheap ($215 total) but given what we'd had it seems reasonable.
