This is an amazing little cantina. Authentic is the first word that comes to mind when I stepped into this place. There is a tiny kitchen that cranks out seriously great mexican food to go along with so many choices for your tequila. The bartenders are experienced, knowledgeable and super friendly. The only bad thing that I can say about... More

It tends to be a bit busy but as soon as you snag a spot in this small local fave, you're in for a real treat! Everything I've ever had on the menu was delicious: their guacamole and salsas also come with the option of fresh, diced serrano peppers; the tacos are packed with flavor, and they offer tequila flights... Amazing waitstaff!! Just the right size tacos! With really delicious corn tortillas. Good pico and chips! Serves Mexican Coke! Yes, carnitas are good. Loved the chicken tacos with cabbage shred. Nice! Pintos and black beans were good. Wished rice was seasoned ( just plain white...) Guac was average.

This tiny Cantina on Adams Avenue is a hidden gem. Though the menu is limited, everything that we sampled was fresh, flavorful and interesting. The real draw is the bar which specializes in tequila and mezcal. The waitstaff can assist you in selecting options from exotic choices seldom seen outside Mexico. Highly recommended.

Went here with friends on a Monday night - I was thoroughly impressed. Specializing in Mexican food, tequila, mexcal and margaritas (made from the aforementioned spirits), the concept is very simple but effective. The food - the carnitas tacos were the best I've ever had, period. I could have eaten 10 of them, but three came for just $7.50 -... More

The Cantina is a local favorite of the food-centric crowd that is making Adams Avenue a destination. The limited menu is augmented by daily and chef's specials, any of which are worth a try. The pollo mole featured on Tuesday and Friday nights is amazing. The bar prides itself on a staggering array of tequilas and mezcals and the bar... More

This place exceeded my expectations! The menu is simple, yet sexy and exceptionally well done. I think that because they have a minimalist menu, everything is done with the highest quality and super fresh. The woman who helped us was kind enough to explain that the tacos were full size and one would probably be plenty. I ordered the carnitas... More

This place is super small, crowded, and loud so we grabbed seats at the bar. I found the margaritas to be very good and the food was ok. Don't get me wrong - it was good - but I've lived in Austin where there are many places with better margaritas and food that are way less crowded. Next time I... More

Local gem. Lots of tequila and mezcal to choose from while you wait for a seat at the bar or a table in the garden. Festive boisterous crowd and staff. Very comfortable casual environment. Delicious Ceviche, fish tacos and a really fab happy hour. There's not much room to wait for a table. First come first served for tables, so... More

We only had time for appetizers here, each one was to die for. The duck mousse brochettes was our favorite with the beef carpaccio next. Actuall I am going to call right now and make another reservation
