Great food—better service

This was our first ever visit to Longhorn. Have been to many a steakhouse but this was one of the best for many reasons. Great decor and ambience and friendly from the minute we walked in the door. Charlie at the bar was welcoming and makes a great Old Fashioned. But the star of the show was the food further enjoyed thanks to the great service of Sabryn. Lobster chowder was superb, Brussels very tasty with the perfect char, and broccoli perfectly steamed. Standing above all of it was the Longhorn Porterhouse—well seasoned and actually served rare with a great sear. Never felt rushed, service by Sabryn was timely with a great smile and friendly conversation, and noise level was well contained to allow easy visiting. Don’t have one of these where we live but will definitely return when possible. And to top it all off, prices were actually quite reasonable.

Amazing people.

Got to go orders several times and the accuracy and politeness of these people is excellent. Often have 3-4 meal orders and usually everything down to condiments is in there. Love that they are nice even when its cold out.

Excellent Meal. Best Steaks Ever!

We have to take a moment to let others know the fantastic meal we had at Longhorn Steakhouse. It is our 50th wedding anniversary today, so we put much thought into where we could get just the right meal. The steaks were cooked to perfection! Luscious, juicy, flavorful and tender. The sides were outstanding, too. We tried the Tunions and Loaded Potato Soup--both wonderful. Thank you for making our Golden Anniversary one to remember! A special shout-out to our server, Caitlin G., who brought us a complimentary sundae to celebrate. It was decorated so prettily with a 50 and a heart. The kindnesses of Caitlin, the super Chef, and all the staff with be long remembered. Thank you, Longhorn Steakhouse!

Still Our Favorite!

Although I am not a big fan of most chain restaurants, when I want a steak in Topeka, Kansas I always head to Longhorn Steakhouse! I have never been dissapointed with the quality of their steaks, and I love the way they are seasoned. There is something for everyone - as the menu has extensive options for appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts. On our most recent visit to Longhorn Steakhouse we were impressed with the awesome staff too. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive and patient, while the manager was active engaging with patrons and helping busy staff members. One of our party was celebrating a birthday and they provided a lovely Ice Cream offering! Great Food, Atmosphere and Staff!

This is my second time visiting this location in 5 years and I was not disappointed! Lately most Longhorns standards went down tremendously, but not this one! Appetiser’s Chicken wing’s perfect, strawberry salad with chicken perfection, great steak with a baked sweet potato! Leila as our server was a breath of fresh air: smile on her face, attentive accommodating and sweet! Mike the manager stopped by to check on us with a smile and a good will! Thank you guys for a great time!

A Little Underwhelming

When we arrived, the hostess took our phone number to text us when they were ready to seat us. We were told to wait outside until then (which is fine, as it was a nice evening and we understand the Covid precautions). But, they must have recorded our number wrong as I never got a text. You'd think the hostess could have stepped right outside to get us, but nothing. After half an hour, my husband finally went in to check...the hostess said she had texted a while ago. Not a great way to start. This was our second steak dinner on our 14-day road trip, and unfortunately, compared to the Texas Roadhouse, this was a bit underwhelming. The steak wasn’t quite as flavorful, cooked well instead of our requested medium-well. The fries were fine, but not as good. The service was friendly, but everything was much slower. And we paid $10 more for the exact same order. If this had been our first steak dinner of the trip, it would have been good, but in comparison, it fell a bit short. Still decent, though. We did enjoy the complimentary brown bread loaf with butter.

It’s Topeka, just lunch and a trick

Amy was just an aweful waitress. We spent 150 for lunch, she was so disruptive she charged us for the man in another booths check for 24.00, but to her idiotic relief we were honest, “oh good. I would have had to pay for that!”. She was busy trying to hit on my husband, it didn’t work, but the service was absolutely ridiculous.

Our favorite place to eat

We love the steaks and parmesan crusted chicken. The salads always taste fresh as well. This is the first place we have ordered appetizers and we have to have the Firecracker Chicken Wraps every time. We go so much they know our orders and we sometimes have 7 in our group. You get complimentary bread while you wait as well. Can't say we have ever had a bad meal. Our favorite locations are Topeka and KCK by the racetrack.

Longhorn was our most visited restaurant but since our last visit they got rid of ALL of our favorites off the menu. Tipped the waiter even though he was rushing us to order and out the door. Got our appetizers and a couple of drinks but didn't don't order any entrees. Sorry but won't be coming back anymore

Very disappointed and frustrated.

Ordered curbside pick up. It took me almost a half an hour to do it on the Internet. It wouldn’t let me order meals that I was later told were available. They were out of baked potatoes. Overall a terribly frustrating time prior to what was to be a relaxing dinner at home.

My friend, a chef, had a birthday today which is also Memorial Day. I ordered three ribeye steaks take-out. I also ordered three baked potatoes, but they never got in the bag. My friend had prepped onions and cheese to put on the potatoes. We had broccoli sides and a piece of cheesecake -- for the birthday boy. The steaks were very good. Another order was first brought to my car. There was a little wait (5-10 minutes) and then the same person brought my big bag of dinners in attractive containers, but no potatoes as I found out when I was to my destination. So, some disappointment this time. I have ordered take-out and we have eaten inside on many occasions. Usually, Longhorn servers don't miss a beat.

Salt! Salt! Salt!

The chefs must have had a huge salt shaker tonight because everything from the soup, which three of us had and couldn't eat, to the entrees were so over salted that it ruined our meals. This is coming from someone who usually salts meals! Not a good experience.

I guess we were expecting a Texas Roadhouse experience- it actually played out as a much better steak restaurant My partner had a perfectly cooked filet that was a great piece of meat I went with chopped steak rare- cooked perfectly. Sides included a super baked sweet potato- delicious

From the time we walked in we were greeted by pleasant smiles and courteous people. The food was excellent. The steak was tender and flavourful. No one, in our group, left disappointed. It was a great night

Went to Longhorn Steakhouse for my usual boil of French Onion Soup, only to be told that they no longed serve French Onion Soup. Why did they stop making very good soup?
