The reservation system isn’t optimal for older people, but we arrived early and able to be seated with an elderly woman. Wait staff was excellent, but trainee needed to slow down for elderly people to give their order. The food was very good with wonderful options during early dining. Would encourage lighter salt on vegetables and overall. Very busy, but well done!

These folks know how to run a restaurant.

I have never eaten at a Texas Roadhouse before, mostly because I don’t care for meat. But, it was so convenient to our hotel that we went. These folks have the hospitality formula aced. The person who seated us grabbed hot bread and sat us down with this delicious smelling bread and spread. The waiter was prompt. Everything was prompt. I had a grilled chicken salad. It was spectacular. I would go again for the grilled chicken salad.

Great Food, Excellent Service!

We ate here on a busy Saturday night when many young people were there for homecoming nights. The wait staff were kept busy but they never missed a step and they were very gracious. The food was excellent (prime rib and Kansas strip steak) as is generally the case with Texas Roadhouse—that’s why we choose them. Taylor was a superb waitress and the cook, who had to cook my husband’s steak a wee bit more personally came to make sure it was right. I highly recommend this restaurant. You are sure to have a good experience!

A not very good Saturday night dinner/ Texas Roadhouse

I’ll try to be brief. There were 4 different issues. 1) The hostess said she didn’t show I signed in online. When I got home, I checked my IPad and it opened to the page confirming I did. 2) The server (Alize (spelling) had to be reminded my wife ordered a Chardonnay after 15 minutes and over a half hour, I had to remind her 3 times to bring more rolls and cinnamon butter. Both my wife and I thought she showed “an attitude “ 3) A nice male assistant manager came by after sitting in our booth for 40 minutes and said “for some reason we just started cooking your food”. I told him about the other issues and he said they would discount the dinner. 4) A female assistant manager later came by after we got our food to check on things. She also said they would discount the meal. Our check DID NOT reflect a discount. This was a shame. We had been going to Texas Roadhouse an average of once a month and always liked it.

Country Fried Steak

Country Fried Steak Ordered the Country Fried Steak for pick-up/takeout. We ordered the gravy on the side and was surprised when we opened the box with the “steak”. The breading had mostly fallen off and it looked like it had been under a warmer all day. It was tough, dry and leathery. The rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy were the best part of the meal. We were very disappointed in this since it is $12.99. Also order the chicken tenders off the kids menu. Unless your child is only 2 years old, this is not enough food for a child. At $5.99, very overpriced. Will probably be a while before we order food from here. Anyplace would have been better than what we got for over $30 bucks.

Not impressed at all!

I ordered the grilled shrimp from the starter menu based off a rave recommendation from my sister. Not impressed it all. Maybe the Lawrence location is better. Six tiny shrimp, hard garlic bread and for the price I could have went to Walmart and bought a bag of shrimp for $3 cheaper and cooked it better myself.

Noisy, Crowded, and Average Food!

I have never been a huge fan of Texas Roadhouse & I was reminded why on a recent birthday family dinner there. Yes, the rolls and butter are delicious, but everything else is average. The restaurant is noisy and crowded. The staff never seems to be very friendly, maybe they were short staffed. I have never had a good Rib-eye at Texas Roadhouse, so this time I order BBQ chicken. It seemed to be processed & microwaved - not very tasty! The salad was good, but the veggie side was undercooked and barely warm. Some of the other members of our family were a little more pleased with their meals or the rating would have been even lower...

Amazing visit to Texas Roadhouse

Vergie and my Chiefs Pre-Game meal at Texas Roadhouse: We had the combo appetizer, with potato skins, fried pickles, and boneless wings. Dinner rolls. Salad, and Bone-In Ribeye, with sautéed mushrooms and sautéed onions. She had a sweet potato and I had a baked potato with cheese. We called ahead, and I talked to Alecia, who was incredibly helpful. Our server, Byron, was absolutely Fantastic, and the manager (Brett), who came to our table to make sure everything was fine-well, she was also great! They were all very Professional, and Personable! PS: We also have to commend the cooks, because everything was absolutely delicious!

A "chain" you can count on

I have dined at three separate Texas Roadhouse locations and had a great experience at all of them. The food and service are both very good. Dining room employees seem happy to be there and provide excellent service with an obviously great attitude. DO NOT go here if you are allergic to peanuts. If you enjoy eating a few peanuts from the shell while your meal is prepared, you can't go wrong here. When you are seated, they place a basket of fresh from the oven rolls with cinnamon butter on the table. Do not try to resist eating them, it is futile.

Take out order- TURN DOWN the music

Drove to restaurant at 5pm to place takeout order. One of the outside doors was locked. Can’t place order inside, must go outside where the music is BLARING and the staff and customers can’t hear each other. Nobody knew how to turn it down and the line which is also for pick up was delayed for a woman unable to communicate her order. When I finally got order placed at 4:45, it was a 25 minute wait for food. Food order was perfect except for chicken tender dressing nowhere to be found. Excellent meals. Parking is challenging at times at pick up order site. TURN DOWN the blasting music. Make pick up and ordering different lines.

Good food, but not so good cocktail

First of all, get there early. The place is incredibly popular. When we left at ~6:30, there must have been 25-30 people waiting for tables. The food (salmon for me, ribs for her) was very good, thus the popularity. I should have known better than to order a Manhattan in a chain restaurant. It was lousy. Then I had a glass of wine which was good.

Excellent and plenty of food to fill a hungry family of 4. Loved everything food and drinks. Recommend the onion appetizer. Ribeye with bone, sweet potato loaded and any of the cocktails. Took home lots of leftovers as the portions were huge.

Very nice Texas Roadhouse and excellent service. We ordered the 3 filet medallions for the first time and it was delicious. Or waitress was fabulous and I wish I could remember her name. We always tip 20% but we gave her 35% because she was that good.

I gave three stars only because our server was very nice and attentive. Five adults for supper. Two of us had steak and were unimpressed. My staek fries were good. Should of skipped the steak I guess. Too busy, too loud, and the three of our five dinners were below par.

You can tell you are just a number to them. Not calling you names but clearly want you shuffled out the door. Last order we got the steak (sirloin) was so fatty and red on the inside when ordered well done! Not thrilled and after being treated this way on the last 3 orders not going back. Good luck if you are brave enough to go.
