Are at the beehive with a group of 5, I had the duck and it was amazing. Had a great waiter with great service. Awesome vibe with the live jazz music. Perfect dinner 👌🏻

We had reservations at the Beehive for 7pm during the recent winter storm. We were so thankful that the Beehive stayed open and we were able to enjoy a delicious meal with friends since we had just arrived in Boston after driving in the storm. They were running on a limited menu, but still had several options to choose from.... More

I have been here for drinks, dinner, and music on several occasions and it has been excellent. One of my favorite nightlife spots in the South End. I was looking for a brunch spot on Saturday and not surprisingly Beehive was highly recommended. The first problem was with the host staff. They seemed to be more interested in holding tables... I need to begin my review with the fact that my husband and I have been to many restaurants in the South End and with the exception of our favorite PICCO, we have not had enjoyed any of the restaurants we have dined at. With that said, The Beehive was a major disappointment. We decided to make reservations to go... More

Great spot, very eclectic mix of people. Band is good on a Saturday night. Good selection of drinks. Chris, the bartender, is a keeper!

It's a great place to enjoy dinner with friends, but if you want to enjoy some good live jazz music, you need to secure a place in the front rows to the stage. Otherwise, you get no sense of the live music at all as the place is too crowded and everyone around chats ignoring the music.

One of my favorite places in Boston hands down. The duck is one of the best dishes I've ever had and get it every time. Dominick, not sure if I spelled that right, is the man. Stellar service, live music, can't ask for much more.

Excellent jazz trio, authentic brick walled cellar, great service, unusual food and drink selections -- and reasonably priced ( for a trendy Boston spot). Try their poached eggs in an African tomato sauce with a creamy polenta, and a bourbon-and-apple cider cocktail. Oh, yeah!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this hip spot in the South End. The Sunday morning Jazz was a perfect accompaniment to our dining experience. Our charming and friendly waiter was great. He had a lot of knowledge about the menu offerings (each one amazingly tempting and creative) and had coffee at-the-ready whenever we needed a refill. He truly took the... More

Recommended by an international travel guidebook and by locals, it meets the expectations. The ambiance looks like a club more than a restaurant and is really pleasant. In a party of three, we made a reservation and were seated downstairs near the stage where a jazz blues band performed ( at intervals , to be honest). Very well advised and... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
