My wife and I went to Ruth's Chris for New Years Eve and for our anniversary. The host greeted us with a Happy Anniversary and placed rose petals on our table. That was a nice way to start off our special dinner. Our server "Sam" was pleasant but gave me attitude when I made my wine selection and tried to... More

I think is safe to say that any Ruth's Chris has good food. The uniqueness about this location is the view (from the bar) to the King Chapel's cemetery and the history of the building. We went there twice for dinner and drinks and once for drinks. If you like RC , you would like this one too. Good food,... More

I went in here not quite knowing what to expect. Had a great meal, good wine (a bit overpriced) but the service was really haphazard. It was busy but not packed out. The squid starter was great but my wine I ordered turned up when I was nearly finished (after asking twice). My steak and lobster main course was excellent,... More

Ruth's Chris is amazing. We sat at the bar for a bit and had some drinks. Tony made us cucumber martinis that were fabulous. Dinner was delicious, the ambiance is wonderful. Our waitstaff was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

We came here for Christmas Dinner. We had a reservation and were seated promptly on arrival. Surprisingly our servers name was Chris - Ruth's Chris at Christmas with Chris as our server, an omen. We were seated in a smaller vault room in the lower level with only six tables in the room. Made socializing easy. My wife had there... More

This location is definitely NOT what you expect of the Ruth's Chris experience. Completely disheveled from the moment you are greeted, at coat check, in the bar, and the entire service experience. Very "rough" clientele. Pretty bad when they have to post a sign telling patrons to please take off their caps. Apparently sweatsuits are OK though. Definitely not what... More

Sat at the bat on a packed Saturday night and drank and ate our way through the appetizers, seafood, and one or two too many delicious cocktails. (Good thing we were staying across the street at the Omni) The restaurant is absolutely beautiful located inside the Historic City Hall. As with all Ruth's Chris it is expensive and worth every... This is easily the best Ruth's Chris I've been too. For one it has a gothic look and the layout is various mini rooms. But they also consistently deliver the best Black and Blue and also Medium Rare Steak you can get (my style). Service is great. You may have to wait a bit as they don't seat immediatley even... We have dined here many times and overall food, service , and quality was always very good. To exceptional. On nov 22nd we attended a mondavi wine tasting dinner. The wines were top notch, however the food was very disappointing. We started out with ahi tuna canapé. They were fresh and flavorful. The problem was the waiters walked around from... More

The food was decent for the price. The waiter was very nervous for some reason and spilled a glass of iced water on me. No big deal, the manager apologized, comped the drink, and offered to have my jacket cleaned. All in all, a very good experience.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
