So disappointed !!! They ran out of arepas so we left the restaurant. This is basically 75% of the menu. I understand there is food crisis in Venzuela but you can get flower for arepas in all grocery stores in Boston.

Delicious lamb shanks and empanadas. Nice corner location we had seating that looked to the outside. The service was very prompt and courteous.

For a night in Boston, I had identified several interesting looking menus and found multiple possibilities for an exciting gluten free meal. And, as a result, my 3 companions had interesting tasty food. Sadly, although my online research indicated there would be lots of gluten free choices here, there wasn't much. The arepas were sold out and many things were... More

This place is located on a corner in a nice residential district. I went at the recommendation of a long-time Boston couple and was not disappointed. Sorry - I forget what I had! - but I remember really enjoying the atmosphere, the wait staff, the cocktail, and the food itself (whatever it was!). Next time I'm in Boston I definitely... More

1st time experience eating out food from Venezuela and liked it. We had ribs and grilled beef. You should order a side plate as this only comes with a salad which is not commen for us European. Food was well prepared and served. Can advise this resto to all that like meat dishes.

Loved the food here. First came across this restaurant on a food tour then returned with friends for dinner. We shared 3 different antojitos to start - great flavours and a great introduction to a cuisine I haven't eaten much of before. We then each had a main dish. If I am able to return I think I would come... More

This small Venezuelan restaurant offers delicious authentic arepas and empanadas. very fresh ingredients and excellent seasoning. If you like spicy ask for the hot sauce. It is made in-house and goes very well with the food. . Gracious prompt service. Nice outside tables.

Went with my friend who is from Venezuelan. I absolutely loved it. I ate some type of beef thing that was more on the expensive side for not as large portions. However, the meat was amazing and so well cooked/seasoned I wish I knew how to make it. It was my first try at Venezuelan food and I was pleasantly... More

My friend and I were looking for a reasonably priced restaurant in the South End near the venue of a concert we were attending. We checked the TripAdvisor, and settled on Orinoco. It was an excellent choice! We arrived at the restaurant at 6:10, and were seated immediately. Within 25 minutes, the restaurant was filled. By the tie we left... More

Orinoco is a great place to grab a tasty and inexpensive lunch served by a friendly wait staff. Start with a selection of appetizers which are all great. The delicious arepas and empanadas are more interesting than the pepitos, which are a little on the ordinary side. To make it a complete and hardy meal, add a side. Can’t wait... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
