My son and I loved the pasta at this fun and delicious Italian restaurant. We definitely recommend a visit here for great Italian food!

We've eaten here at least 50 times over the last ten years. It's a neighborhood gem. Pasta is made in house and always cooked perfectly. My favorite pasta dishes are the tagliatelle bolognese (best I ever had), the orchiette with sausage, and the gnocchi. The steak is wonderful. Don't skip dessert--chocolate mousse is super silky with deep chocolate flavor and... More

Stella turned out to be a good choice for an evening meal close to our Boston accommodations. We were warmly greeted at the entrance and taken to our table with special concern for the grand kids. The menu offered something for everyone. I especially enjoyed the marinated beets with goat cheese. We were surprised the mussels in the spicy offering... More

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. I had beef carpaccio, seafood risotto, and the best cream brûlée. Prices is fear.

March 4, 2017 I had never been to Stella's before, but a friend of mine suggested it when I told him that I'd love to find a good Italian place for dinner. I WAS BLOWN AWAY. It's that good. Their focaccia bread is some of the best I've ever had and I've traveled to 28 countries. That's what we started... More

Great Bar. Great homemade pasta! Only complaint is the noise. It is a LOUD restaurant!! I recommend the spaghetti and meatballs or the sausage orrechiette.

Stopped by for an impromptu dinner with coworkers on a Tuesday evening. We got seated right away. Service was a little slow, but was friendly, and the Bolognese made it worth the wait.

We were placed by the bathrooms because we did not have a reservation. I felt as if we were being punished. Overall food was great, but felt it was pricey. I was an easy $100 night for two.

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
