I really like Eastern Standard! This weekend, I went there for a second time with a date and again, I enjoyed the fun atmosphere. Eastern Standard is always busy; however, it's a fun, hip, professional crowd-of all ages and groups. I enjoyed the Cabernet and shared cheese plate. I was surprised that we didn't have to wait long for a... More

This restaurant is run very well, it is clean, and the manager Caroline is First Class all the way. Dave was our server on New Years and never skipped a beat. Food is fabulous, great choices on menu and extraordinary cocktails. Well Done!!

Had smoked salmon bagel and egg benedict for breakfast. Ingredients were fresh and the dishes tasted good.

Prompt, direct, and unassuming service. Beautifully plated and tasting food. Great espresso and Amaro selection. Knowledgeable staff, my server Ruby was fantastic.

I only ordered their Jumbo Shrimp with a spicy sauce and that was delicious although rather pricey, the Herby Fries however were super and the Devilled Eggs a bit of a disappointment, but I ate them all.

My daughter and I loved the dining experience. We agreed it was the best calamari we had ever had, period.

Even on one of the coldest nights in Boston (low double to single digits), sitting by the front window of this packed space was still warm and inviting. We did wait quite a bit of time to get our drinks, but were given some champagne pours as an apology. Our specially-crafted cocktails arrived (which I always recommend doing, especially as... More

I strongly recommend that you try Eastern Standard for brunch. The service is excellent the food is good and I would highly recommend taking the time to stop here. Also try the Eggs Purgatory you can't go wrong.

This place is packed. We went on a Saturday night after a show. It's a very busy and very large restaurant. We waited a little bit for our reserved 9pm table. Service was a bit all over the place. Got our apps, then our dinner but never saw the wait staff again, to check in, etc. Food was just OK... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
