On May 30, 2016 we had a fine lunch at Toscana...over the years, we have checked out many Italian restaurants in the North side. There are tons to choose from folks. Tons. You can't go far wrong with any of them. If you experience what we experienced on our visit, you won't go wrong with Toscana When you wander around... More

There aren't many good restaurants in Harvard Square, so those that are passable are popular and crowded, and this is one. The food is modern Italian, erring, however, in drenching foods in olive oil and garlic. Ok wine list.

The one star rating is only because I couldn't put in a question mark for its location. We were looking for the Italian restaurant by this name, which has good reviews, because we wanted a nice place that is walking distance from the MFA. We went beyond the address of 130 Jersey St. Boston MA 02215 before we realized that... More

We were looking forward to a nice dinner while in town for a concert. The menu looked so inviting and reviews were good. We were so disappointed to see that it had closed, just a simple note on the door.

I am Italian, born and raised in Italy. I spent my first year in USA in Boston and this place was my only resource for real, original, Italian food. If you are looking for hearty Italian food, and a nice, warm atmosphere, this is definitely the place you want to be. There are plates such as tripe and pappardelle with... More

We've been meaning to try this restaurant for a while and now we wonder why we waited so long! The owner, Irida is a delightful host and made good dinner recommendations. We had a pumpkin soup with ginger and a burrata salad followed by house-made tagliatelle with mushrooms was a hit as was the tiramisu! Planning a second visit soon... More

Great food. Nice place. If you blink you will miss it. Not your regular pasta or pizza. This was a place with a small but really awesome menu.

Searched Yelp for a place that served Gnocchi, which is my husbands favorite. Specifically Gnocchi with white ( not red) sauce. Plump little potato Gnocchi with a Gorgonzola sauce sprinkled with walnuts. Yes, it was as yummy as it sounds. The grilled pork chop was perfectly seasoned. Totally worth venturing to this area close to Fenway.

My boyfriend and I often go here and find the food and service amazing. Best Italian food in Boston, hands down. We are never disappointed with the selection of antipasti. Big shout out to Ryan, who is often our server, he is very knowledgeable about the menu, where the ingredients come from and is very warm and welcoming. We really... More

Cute little unassuming spot for authentic Tuscan cuisine. They had a lengthy wine list for which our server was very helpful. We made some very heavy choices - a very flavorful sausage bruscetta, apparel let bolognese, hubby had linguini with cod. Everything delicious.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
