Very nice beer and wine selection and the food is very good. The cauliflower appetizer is good, as is the caesar salad. The pizzas are very good but they are COMICALLY overpriced. We ordered a large pizza with just mushrooms, olives, and onions, and it was priced as the margherita ($20) plus the toppings which made it a $27 pizza.... More

In a charming place in Boston, near several cool business houses, this restaurant has its forte in the well-cooked pizzas and in the aroma that takes care of every well laid-out atmosphere! Brewery for that quick snack, or good American lunch! They warn you that the pizza comes burned on the edges so it's not worth complaining afterwards! I felt... More

Is there a better combination?! The restaurant was very busy, so we are at the bar. The veggie pizza with Brussels sprouts was out of this world!!!! I can not say enough good things about it. There is a great selection of beer here as well as other drinks. I highly suggest saving room for some homemade ice cream to... More

This place does not take reservations and as we did not have US phone numbers they could not call to say when table would be ready. It meant a walk round the block in really blustery wet weather. We then went back and crammed into a corner in the hope our table would come up soon. Thankfully the wait wasn't... More

We had dinner at Picco tonight before seeing a show at the nearby Calderwood Pavilion. I have to say that the pizza was absolutely amazing. I had the margarita with arugala and a caesar salad. My husband added mushroom to his as the pizzas are individual sized: The crust was perfectly crisp with a sweet taste. Delicious. The service was... More

Everything I've had to eat here has been great- creative special pizzas and the best ice cream in Boston. All of the employees are friendly and quick to fix a mistake if they occur (the restaurant can get quite busy so its not surprising if an order gets mixed up). One of my favorite places in the area.

Doesn't matter the season Picco's always busy and you need a reservation. pizza is cooked to order in brick-kiln ovens. Their wine and beer and ale is always great. The choices are many with a lot of start-ups in the Boston and sorrouding areas. Ie. The Bershires! Also in the dead of winter their sellas many cones and cups of... More

A friend recommended I try Picco in the South End for delicious pizza! My husband and I decided to check it out one summer evening. We each got a small pizza with the toppings of our choice. My husband got sausage, pepperoni, and a few other delicious toppings. I opted for the caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and garlic. Can... More

Very very rude and unnecessary way of treating paying patrons for service. Would recommend Regina any day over picco. Trust me.

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
