The atmosphere is top drawer, but the staff are overworked and had too many tables to be attentive. The Boston Cream Pie is a weirdly bland, overblown affair--I preferred the carrot cake by far.

The Parker House Rolls lived up to their reputation and were delicious. Their Clam Chowder tasted mostly of cream, with little, if any, taste of clams. After being so disappointed with the Clam Chowder, I decided to just have their Boston Cream Pie (which is...More

Parker rolls and Boston. Cream pie are requirements, but all of the food is delicious. Our group had the scallops, salmon, trout, and roast chicken; all hits. Our waiter alone, who has been with the restaurant for 18 years, makes this a place I will...More

The history alone makes this place worth visiting, but the food was wonderful. (Tidbits: Malcolm X and Ho Chi Minh both worked here, and JFK proposed to Jackie here.) Go with their well-known-for specialties: Parker House rolls, baked scrod and Boston cream pie. While there...More

My husband and I were so excited to try this highly-hyped Boston Cream Pie. Although it is tasty, subtle and moist, I kept thinking 'this is just good birthday cake'. Nothing more, nothing exciting about it at all.

We have been to many Omni's for breakfast and they are all very good to excellent. While this buffet has nice breakfast choices, there is no omelet station. The chocolate croissants were excellent as was their apple crepes. The downside was the wait service. We...More

Had dinner, breakfast and lunch at Parkers! All were a wee bit pricey, but excellent. The poached lobster was scrumptious as was the Boston Cream Pie. Breakfast was a feast for the eyes as well as the tongue. And lunch was equally well prepared.

It is a great location in downtown, well decorated restaurant. It got 4.5 stars and recommended for its calm chowder soup, so as a tourist in Boston I couldn't pass it... It was a mistake. Boston is not a cheap place to eat. But the...More
