We enjoyed the breakfast buffet here after an overnight stay. We were lucky to receive free vouchers for the buffet as I noticed that it is normally $26 per person. It is a very full buffet though with scrambled eggs, potatoes ,many breakfast meats, french toast, fruits, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal and assorted pastries. We loved the mini ketchup and syrup... More

After eating myself halfway through Boston, I wanted to get a piece of their famous Boston Cream Pie, at the restaurant where it was created. I was really disappointed they were closed when I got there🙁. I found out they close between 2:00pm and 5:00pm, which meant I had to come back the final night in town to eat their... More

Had lunch here during out stay at the Omni Parker House. The service was excellent and the food was great. Excellent Lobster Roll in true New England Tradition. One of the few highlights of our stay at the Omni Parker House

Had breakfast buffet here one morning while staying in the hotel. It wasn't that busy. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Selection of sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs etc as well as cereals and fruit. There was also hot porridge. It was ok; but expensive. $25. There are plenty of other, cheaper, options close by

Best New England Clam Chowder! So good I had to have it twice. Ditto for the Cesar Salad with their in house dressing. I thought the Boston Creme Pie was exceptional(had that twice, too). The entres were what you would expect. The architecture was stunning. We were staying at the hotel and were very pleased. Will definitely stay there again... More

A beautiful high-ceiling room with very detailed architecture, Parker's Restaurant offers a wonderful menu full of premium meals. My experience was very good and I would recommend visiting, if only for the decor.

Had to go in for after dinner drinks and a piece of the Boston cream pie. Went to the upstairs bar and enjoyed the history of the place while eating our pie. Went here just to say we did !!

Went here to try the famed Boston Cream Pie; it was pretty good, but honestly not sure it was worth it. The cream has blended into the cake, leading to moist cake, but no cream :-(

Took my elderly aunt for brunch with friends. She had fond memories of the Parker House dining room so we had our holiday brunch there. OMG. It was terrible. The coffee was cold and that was after three new cups. The waiter disappeared for three 20 minute periods The food was cold. The entire special get together was a memory... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
