We'd just completed a tour and were hungry, tired and cold. We were offered a outside seat with heating or inside. We opted for inside. Service was fast and very friendly. For a prime location, a $7 huge beer and $10 bowl of amazing clam chowder in a toasted bread bowl was the best I've ever had! I would recommend... More

We came here for dinner the evening of the Boston Marathon. My hubby had the lobster roll (which he waited to have until after he ran!). I had a flatbread pizza. The food was good, and the service was okayish but it was super busy with the marathon crowds. Great view of the water from the patio!

Came across this when looking for a place to have lunch outside to enjoy the weather. We had perfect seats for people watching as well as for my 4 yr old grandson to be able to move about within our line of sight and no worries about cars! Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. My first disappointment was that... More

Doreen, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Not sure why they told you we did not have iced coffee (they obviously just didn't make it), I apologize for that. Fromsomeone that doesn't like her food touching, I understand the pickle thing. I will take care of that now. Again, thank you and have a great day.... More

The people at Tia's are the best! The manager, Katie helped me put together a fabulous get-together reunion party. Katie was amazing. She was professional, helpful and flexible. The servers were great - friendly and efficient. The food, the drinks - terrific. The location...well...it's Tia's....best of the best in Boston. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Tia's! We all will... We had a nice fish dinner. Wife had salmon salad and I had a sizable tasty ahi tuna burger. Best of all kids meal was 5 bucks. Beware mac and cheese is straight out of the box kraft dinner.

Glad you enjoyed your meal. Our Mac n'cheese is made from scratch with 4 different cheeses. However, if you are talking about the kids mac n' cheese, you are correct, (not out of a box though), and that is by request for kids. Hope to see you back for another tuna burger. More

We were snowed in at the Marriott Long Wharf in Boston. We ate breakfast here, buffet and lobster eggs Benedict. That was great. Had lobster flatbread for lunch one day and that was pretty good. The dinners were either not good or very good. The crab sliders were a highlight. The service was sketchy to say the least. It looked... More

I do believe you may be talking about the restaurant in the Marriott, which is not Tia's. we do not serve a buffet brunch, nor do we serve brunch. Right now we are closed for the winter. I would greatly appreciate if you correct this. I am sorry you did not have a great experience at the restaurant you were... More

We stopped here after walking to Quincy Market area. It's on the water in a pretty area. We were here for lunch it was very quiet. I had clam chowder and crab cake sliders. Two friends had the same thing. The food was good, I enjoyed this place.

Been to Tia's late-night on the weekend a few times, and I'm never really impressed. While the patio is nice, it's often packed shoulder-to-shoulder with recent college grads and bros screaming at each other. It's just ok.

Food was great, I would recommend the lobster and shrimp scampi any day and the clam chowder in a bread bowl was also tasty.

Last minute meeting scheduled for 13 people. We were sat immediately which was great. Food was average. Clam chowder was heavy on potato and light on the clams. Swordfish was dry and tasteless. Other people enjoyed their meals, but no one had the "wow" factor.

Gary, Sorry you did not enjoy your meal. I will make sure they re-evaluate the clam chowder when we re-open in the spring. I hope you will give us another try. Sincerely, Katie Gorman More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
