No frills, but the beer selection is great, the food is delicious & the prices cannot be beat! I would definitely go back there. I had a great time!

A decent sized bar with great drafts, cheap burgers, and a nice downstairs area in the basement. New and clean for a Brighton bar.

We stumbled into the Avenue after driving up from DC/MD/Philly, respectively, and were quite pleased at the fairly large and unique draft beer selection (mostly local brews but others too) and the food menu, which focuses mostly on inexpensive, 4 oz. burgers. Luckily, we arrived right before late night happy hour when the house burger was only $2.50. We all... More

One dollar burgers all day on Mondays and everyday after 10pm. They're decently sized, come with lettuce, tomato and special sauce, and are actually pretty tasty. There are specials every other night on other items from their tiny bar menu- seriously it's like 7 items at most. Service is decent and pretty quick, large beer selection with many 5 dollar... The pizza and wings were very good, with pricing between $7-$15. I will definitely be back to try other things!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
