This tavern, one of the oldest and visited by Paul Revere and George Washington, is located in an adorable part of Charlestown just a few blocks from Bunker Hill. Check out the monunument then grab a bite. The baked haddock I had was some of...More

We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. It was pretty busy. Nice bar area with several high-top tables. The bar area is bigger than the images on their web site. We had one of their salads and the Warren burger. The food was very...More

Asked a local (of course) for a place to eat in Charlestown. This place was recommended. It was opened in 1780. The original tavern is still there with add ons. I ordered the lobster roll because I haven't had one in a long time. Nice...More

We found the tavern on a trip advisor review and thought we would try it.. the food was great and the best Caesar salad on this trip. On arrival the hostess was rude. We stood by a tall table and asked for a table for...More

Crazy to think this place hosted George Washington! Neat and unique place to dine while in the Boston area. Food was good and quickly served. Service was good, drinks delicious. Portions were generous. If you are in the area, give it a try!

Possibly the best food I had in 10 days in Boston. So good I ate here twice. Very close to Bunker Hill, so a great place to stop for lunch. Lots of history and ambiance.

I am surprised this is rated so high on TripAdvisor. It really is so average. I had the fish tacos that really did lack flavor and were quite bland! The rice is a pilaf which is weird to serve with tacos. The iced tea is...More

Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight
lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit.
Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge
from the North End or take the scenic water locks to
Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll
down cute Main street, wandering up the windy
residential streets to Monument Square, where you can
learn about the city’s history along with a great view

WARREN TAVERN is family-friendly and because Paul Revere used to frequent this tavern it is a good reason to tell the story of Paul Revere and his famous ride to tell the people of Boston that the British were coming. Then... More
