We got 3 pizzas delivered and they were all terrible. When we opened the boxes, it looked like they had been thrown up and down in the truck, in pieces and all over the place. They must have been sitting for awhile too, as they were beyond dry, even the Bianco which has salad on it. The plain Oliver was... More

Have lived nearby this place for 5+ years now. 99% of the time we've just gotten take out, but if you can swing a seat on a cold winter night, it's a very cosy place. The Red Sox, the crispy eggplant and the pulled chicken are all winners. Ask for the free bread if you are doing takeaway. Order online... More

We live about 200 yards away and this makes for the perfect neighborhood night out. A quiet cozy little restaurant, open kitchen where you can watch them fire up delicious pizza, but the other italian meals are really good as well. We are regulars for the chicken parmesan, the salmon and the beat salad, but we love the pizza as... More

Staying at the Residence Inn and walked to pick up pizza after walking around Boston Common. Pizza ordering and pickup was easy to do. Loved their Red Sox combination flatbread baked in a stone oven.

Went here with family last night. Seated quickly but took forever to receive water and to place our order. We asked for a bottle of wine, a ginger ale, and a Diet Coke. We also put in an order for calamari for an appetizer. The server delivered the wine and ginger ale and then disappeared. When she came back she... More

It's OK. Everything tastes like it's gonna show up soon, at a grocery near you, in the frozen section. Tod English presents Fig's frozen entress and pizzas. - If you turn your oven broiler up to the highest temp, you can make this same pizza at home. - They make a decent noodle - They make a decent ragout bolognese... My wife, Diane, and I just arrived in Boston, checked out the USS Constitution and museum and then found the Bunker Hill monument and Figs. The place is low key, dark and mellow, kind of a local or neighborly place to hang out with a small bar as well. The place was active and busy. We had a wonderful server... More

Good was pretty good. They accommodated my friends special request easily and our food came out promptly. After that the service went downhill. Never refilled our water, had to ask for the bill, etc.

We love fine dining and what a find just one block off the Freedom Trail in Charlestown. We needed a light lunch with some fluids after our walk and we found a superb venue in Figs. Great salads and great beer. Cheerful service - just what we needed.

The pizza crust is delicious. There are many pizza's to pick from but the original Oliver's is my favorite. Also great to go and have any of the salads and adding chicken of salmon on top. There are also great entree's to pick from. Miss the Chicken Oreganatta from the menu but still visit this restaurant at least once a... More

Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
