We were in town for a friend’s birthday and asked a local who has lived here for 50 years for a recommendation. To the lawyer we met at the bar in Cambridge who told us about this, thank you! The appetizers, main meal and drinks...More

Not since our trip to Italy two years ago have my husband and I enjoyed such a wonderful, romantic Italian dinner! Our server, Nancy, was charming and attentive. The food was superb. I delighted in one of my favorite Italian classics, pasta with clams. Very...More

We have eaten in most North end restaurants and Assaggio is the best we have been to in years. We had a group of 6 and everyone raved about the food, ambience, and service. If you are looking for great food- this is the place...More

The food (salmon & pizza) and service was good, but nothing inventive or that wowed me. The restaurant is geared towards the food of the Amalfi Coast. There were a few pasta dishes that could have fit the bill, but many that did not... I...More

We ate there on a Saturday evening. Mainly an adult restaurant - but we had 4 children with us under the age of 10. Kids ate appetizer sized portions. The salads were great - both the house and the ceasar. We had very good service....More

The main floor is small but no one bumped into my chair despite the central position of my table. The Maitre' d was charming and old school. The waiters were polite and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone!

We had already hit some of the big tourist restaurants in the North End on previous visits and were walking around searching for a new place when we stumbled upon this gem! The kitchen is fully visible from both the street and the interior of...More

North End

being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
