We enjoyed a superb dinner here last week. The service was spectacular and the food was superb. We ate in the upstairs dining room which was elegant and comfortable. Couldn't fault the whole experience.

Mamma Maria is among the best Italian meals we've ever had. First, the atmosphere and ambiance is top rate. The restaurant is comfortable with muted lighting and white tablecloths. A great little restaurant with amazing service and good food. Little bit too noisy , crowded but yet cosy.

Went in June 2015 for a birthday dinner that was absolutely perfect in every way. Thank you Mamma Maria's! Great care is taken with food allergies, so everyone is welcome. A delightful time was had by all.

My husband and I went with a couple friends of ours here for our last night in Boston, and what a way to end our trip. Traffic was a little heavy and we were running about five minutes behind on our reservation, we called to let the hostess know and she said "no problem, we'll see you when you get... More

The restaurant was elegant with linen table cloths, the service was impeccable, the menu had a great selection and the wine was perfect with the meal. we had an appetizer of beet salad and warm figs and prosciutto, an entree of veal, and lobster ravioli and a dessert of blueberry and rasberry tiramisu. fabulous~

Two times in the last few weeks we have gone. We ask for the porch upstairs overlooking the square below. Very enjoyable meal from someones busy home. Menu changes regularly. Best baked oysters I have ever had. Oysters baked florentine style with Prosecco zabaglione. Enjoyed the Black Bass. Very happy with the staff and comfort of the restaurant . Menu... More

Great restaurant! Had a neat but cramped little room right above the entrance staircase - so cramped that we had to rearrange to get out to go to the restroom. This was a celebration dinner during a business trip to a conference where I'd won an award, and we went to Mamma Maria with another couple (who had also been... More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
