Billy's is a wonderful place to pick up a quick, solid sub at lunch. Nothing fancy or over the top here but the food is consistent and the service is fast.

The food was perfect for a hangover. It came quickly and was satisfying. The portions were a good size but the pricing was a little expensive. The atmosphere is one of a local hole in the wall spot.

Can't beat Billy's!!! it's so nice to have a simple old school "luncheonette" in the South End. its a real neighborhood place, no hipsters hanging out here. Hope Billy"s will never gentrify, or be pushed out by way of another coffee shop selling $5 lattes & $7 chibatta bread egg sandwiches.

Loved this place, came her twice and had chicken salad in a fresh bun both times, and coffee. Staff are really friendly. Will definitely come here again, if I come back to Boston.

During a recent stay around the corner at the Chandler Inn, my friend and I stopped at Billy's for breakfast. Our omelets were delicious and portions were substantial.

Happened across Billy's whilst staying in a hostel over the road, and I'm glad I did. Had a chicken Caesar wrap to go - very tasty, large portion, hit the spot beautifully as I was looking for an "out of the way" place!! It's off the beaten track a touch, but well worth finding this hidden gem!

Located in one of the most expensive areas of Boston, Billy's is one of the few places in the area that I can feel comfortable going to in my sweatpants (and I mean this as a compliment). The food is simple, diner like. The prices match the atmosphere. Nearly every time I have gone, and I go often, there are police... More

The bread is soft and the subs are filled generously. I came here twice and plan on going again tomorrow. They toast them or give them to you as is. They also have Gyro's which I had the first time I went. Everything is good.

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
