In the South End, you can do a lot better. Slow service, it was like the staff were a little bit annoyed to be there which is weird. The pizza is basically the same as you could get anywhere in the country an worse than you could get in most of Boston. The guys were basically just hanging out and... More

I ordered Emilios through Grubhub and had it delivered to my hotel. I am always leery of delivery, but this arrived hot and fresh and very quickly. I liked it so much, I had it delivered again the next day. Great local food.

I was going to eat at the Beehive but it was very busy and I was overwhelmed by the crowd, so I went across the street to Emilios and got a calzone. The line was not very long, but long enough. Still the wait wasn't bad and I got my calzone and off I went back to my hotel -... More

Been getting pizza here for well over 20 years....and can say that the dough recipe has changed. It used to be an amazing crust, but the last 3-4 orders are not what I expected.

We had wanted to go to a different place but weren't prepared to wait over an hour. Hungrily walking down the street we saw this place and weren't sure but gave it a try. Pizza was delicious and fresh, pasta was ok. But the staff were very friendly and even brought us some cake, as they were very happy with... More

Why review a neighborhood pizza and sub shop? Well, sometimes people just want some place quick and affordable to eat, Emilio's is open late - generally until midnight, weekends until around 1, they deliver, and I've been getting pizza, subs, and various dinner plates at least once or twice a week for close to 30 years. Emilio's is located on... More

The rain was lashing down and the US Tennis final was on with Fed and Novak so who wants to go out? Emilios was just up the street from our B&B and produced a really good thin crust pizza with plenty of toppings and an excellent crunchy Greek salad all for a few dollars. Just right with a few beers... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
