This place was right down the street from where we were staying. We had a late lunch there so we practically had the place to ourselves. Staff was nice and accommodating. Portions were large so we took some home for another day. It was great again.

We were looking for oysters but the queue was too long so this was an accidental find. We sat down to the only spare table and read on the menu about their accolades. To us as marketers we became dubious by the claims but continued. This is by far the best authentic Italian restaurant i've ever had. One of our... More

Just a run of the mill red sauce joint in the North End. Crowded place with too many tables for the size. Small portions but incredibly good bread. If visiting Boston be adventurous and try East Boston or Revere. Much more value for money and you might even hear what your dinner companions have to say. For an added bonus... More

To be fair, we were here for Valentine's dinner. The food was good, and the bread was the best we've had in a long time (they make their bread in-house) but we just felt rushed. We would have stayed for dessert and coffee but decided to walk over to Modern We would go back, on a slow night and "feel... More

Delicious insalada, pasta dishes, bread, and wine for me and my hubby last night, in a cozy and welcoming little environment. Thanks Antico Forno!

Right in Little Italy section. Food is wonderful. Never had a bad meal there. Service is quick. Just be aware it's tiny in there and you may be dinining bumping elbows with the next table. Make reserations! Parking near by.

We had dinner for 6 with family and friends. It was a busy Saturday night, with many having pre-Bruins game dinners, date nights and tourists sampling the North End. This is my second time here, but it's been years. The restaurant did not disappoint. They accommodated us well, adjusted menu items for some dietary requests and even changing sauces on... More

Not the best pizza I have ever had but still excxellent. We stopped in on a cold January day while walking the Freedom Trail and it was perfect. The fireplace was very welcome and the brick oven made it even better. Service was good The house chianti was surprisingly good.

We visited Antico Forno the Friday before Christmas, as we were in town visiting family. We had a large group of 10 where relatives were coming in to meet us, so we thought what better place to go for a meal when in Boston than the North End! We chose Antico Forno because we had a few vegetarians in our... More

If you are looking for authentic Italian food in the North End, you need to eat here. Our family stopped in before a Bruin's game, and were not disappointed. Generous portions, amazing entrees, and the antipasto appetizer was delicious. All three of our meals were tasty- we will definitely be back to try different items! The service was excellent, and... Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
