We had breakfast here to start out our day. The buffet provided a variety of options, both cold and hot. Staff was very attentive.

we were a party of five and celebrating a birthday. We got two appetizers to share for the table and the portions were quite generous. Each of our dinners was more beautiful then the next. I ordered the special Valentine's Filet Mignon and it was the most delicious I've ever eaten. A couple had ordered the short ribs which they... More

We had a reservation (for 2) but still had to wait 15 minutes. That said, the maitre d' was gracious and offered us a free drink with his apology. We ordered roasted brussels sprouts that were drenched in a thick, mayonnaise sauce. They would have been delicious without the sauce, and there were enough for 4 people. The steak frites... More

In 2 words-Don't Bother! $23 p/p for the only hot foods of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, terrible potatoes, and oatmeal. No eggs cooked to order as part of buffet, no toast, bagels or rolls. There was 1 plate of mini blueberry muffins, 1 plate of mini croissant. 2 cold cereals. Mini mini yogurt parfaits and 1 plate each of pineapple,... More

We ate brunch here as a family of 6, and enjoyed every minute of it. The décor lets you feel as if you were in a French city. I can only speak for the omelet and the romaine salad, both of which were wonderful. The French Baguettes brought in paper bags to the table where fresh and delicious. The service... More

Stayed at the Colonnade for Valentines Day and took advantage of the restaurant's Valentines day dinner. Roses, champagne and great food. The waitstaff could not have been more attentive and friendly. The food is excellent. The menu has something for all tastes. The short ribs were suburb. The breakfast buffet is also worth visiting. This is not your typical hotel... More

I had two fantastic dinners at Brasserie Jo during my stay at the Colonnade Hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. The raw bar was excellent and the entrees were classical and delicious. The skate wings and coq au vin were exceptionally delicious. The wine list is varied and includes a great selections of wines from Alsace, which we enjoyed... More

My husband and I have been eating at Brasserie Jo for years, because we go to Symphony Hall often and park in the Prudential Garage. Brasserie Jo is a convenient place to eat after 9:00 p.m. in the neighborhood. In the beginning (years and yeas ago) I was not sold on their Alsatian specialties, and these have more or less... Took my grandmother here before going to see the BSO. The location could not be beat, right on Huntington - a few blocks and across the street from Symphony Hall. We both got the duck, which was served with pears, turnips, and a potato purée. Paired with the Cotes du Rhone (I'm not French and don't really know wine lol),... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
