We were drawn to Taranta because of it’s cozy and welcoming ambiance. We will return because of the fabulous food. The Peruvian influences on the menu were a wonderful surprise, blending so easily with the Italian. The trout with potatoes, beans and escarole was fantastic....More

We went here after a college visit. Love the atmosphere and decor (2 story walkup with exposed brick walls). Food was super fresh and well prepared. The lobster ravioli in Marscapone tomatoe sauce was awesome - highly recommend it. Service was ok, but could be...More

Taranta is a gem. We had the salmon and the amazon fish, both delicious. Very nice palate of flavors coming together in a perfect balance. Very charming warm dining spaces. A different north end option!

The flavors. The atmosphere. The wine. Everything about this restaurant is top notch. If you haven't dined in the North End, or you are a regular, this place is a treat. Beware: you will roll out of here, full belly, big smile.

They seated us promptly and, after a short interval, took our wine order. After the wine came, they asked if we had questions and then took our food order. Everything was very prompt, but not rushed. I had a lamb dish, which was excellent. The...More

Very good food and service. Location is also a plus. Decoration is very nice. The place is small and cozy. I recommend you to make a reservation in advance to make sure to get a table. Everything we had was delicious

Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church
