Mistral is one of our favorite restaurants in the city of Boston. Sophisticated without being prententious, it offers imaginative menus of finely-curated food highlighted by out of the ordinary spices. You can detect the Middle Eastern and Northern African blends in their offerings and never have we had a dish that hit a false note. This restaurant is aimed at... More

This is an excellent restaurant in Boston. I have been there quite a few times and every time was a great experience. The staff is always ready to help in anyway from pairing wines with your food choices and making sure everything is exactly the way you like it.

One of the best restaurants in Boston for couples or a fun night with a group of friends. Mark the manager is terrific! My husband and I go almost once a week. Great to sit at the bar.

The staff was attentive, but not overbearing. The Rack of Lamb fabulous. We have been going here for years and have NEVER had a bad meal. They are the epitome of consistency. Love this place.

Mistral is our favorite restaurant in Boston and has been for several years. The food is superb and the service excellent. It is not overly noisy and you are treated in a lovely manner when entering or departing. Its prices are high but not outrageous, and its wine selection is broad-based. What else can you ask.

The restaurant was very busy on a rainy Sunday evening. We had a cozy table off to the side. There were many food options but we chose linguine and a shrimp dish and split a salad. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and presented. We appreciated our waiter who was knowledgeable and helped guide our choices. After a cappuccino, we were sated... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
