The best part of Amrheins is it's proximity to downtown and it's off street parking. It's usually a quick drive when traffic is ok. The neighborhood is safe. Dinner for two with a deadline for a show. Our waitress was very good to that end - she took our orders and served promptly when we told her. Food was very... More

Stopped in here for dinner because it was supposed to be good food in a historic location. Well, it was that, but that's it. Get there, there's about 15 people at and around the bar, that's it. Hostess makes eye contact, precedes to walk over to the bar, till the kitchen etc, before coming over to us, several minutes after... More

Went here with a few friends after visiting some coworkers that live nearby. Just wanted to have something light to eat and this place came highly recommended. Really liked the old style turn of the century (1899-1900) interior with the dark wood, tiles, decorative lighting, and a nice big old wooden bar. Just had some appys and salads: the crab... More

My friends and I decided to try this restaurant after one of us was recommended this restaurant at work. It is a very old restaurant with lots of character. I got the red potato and bacon pizza that had cheese and Green onions on it. It was very yummy. One of my friends got a burger and another friend got... More

Fun spot, cool looking bar, comfy benches and plenty of beers on tap and cocktail choices. They get you though, on parade day, so expect to spend a $20 cover charge before you have your drinks. But step outside and you're right at the start of the parade route, so a great location. Staff is friendly and you will find... More

Last time I went there honestly the menu is nothing special neither was any of the food I have eaten there over the past few yrs. Last time was so not good that I haven't went back since. It is to bad because they used to have one heck of a prime rib dinner

This restaurant was in the hotel's list of recommended places to eat so I figured I'd go with that. Turns out it's Southies oldest restaurant open since 1890 with a quaint relaxed atmosphere. On display, they have the oldest hand carved bar in America and the first draft beer pump in Boston. It was a Wednesday evening at 7 pm,... More

Stopped here for a work lunch last week and the food was excellent. The clam chowder was excellent and the fish and chips was good as well. Prices were typical for this area. Looked like it would be a good place to stop after work, but I didn't have that opportunity. Definitely would visit here again if I am back... More

This restaurant is near Laugh Boston and there was a Groupon so we decided to give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. This place has been around for over 100 years but it is clearly NOT resting on it laurels. I had the New York Sirloin which was top notch. My wife had the sea bass special which... More
