As travelers to Boston, we were looking for a great place downtown with a wide variety of seafood options. I had crab legs (some of the best I've had) and mussels for an appetizer. Others in our group got shrimp, scallops, and the chef's choice...More

Really good place to eat. I had Amy's Cod and my husband had Seafood Casserole. We split the calamari as an appetizer and it was great. My Cod came with Jasmine rice, broiled tomato, and broccoli. My husband had a side of crispy onion rings....More

A friend and I visited Legal Seafood while on holiday in Boston. We had made a reservation at the Harbourside location, but accidentally ended up at one about a mile away from that one. One hostess was quite rude and unhelpful, but luckily another stepped...More

This was my family’s go to seafood restaurant in the 1980s. Now it’s expensive and somehow lacking in whatever made it special. Too bad

I had been looking forward to fish chowder all day during our sightseeing on the water front. Legal has always had the best. This was barely edible. Have they changed the recipe? The Hostess was trying to give us a noisy table next to the...More

I had the grilled trio and it was all delicious. Slightly overcooked for my taste. Our server was nice but not fully engaged. Each plate was $25-30. We called ahead for reservation and it was a great idea.

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish. Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels. We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.
