This is a cute cafe in Boston where you can stop in and get breakfast. There are only egg sandwiches and non-breakfast sandwiches. The tea and coffee are very tasty, make sure to get a cookie or pastry! There is no Wifi.

Perfect place to quickly stop and grab fresh tasty items like eclairs and sticky buns. Friendly attractive polite efficient staff. A pleasure to visit. Seating can be a bit tricky particularly with kids, think more hipster tourist. Take out my favorite on our trip and in nice weather walk across one street to park.

The espresso and the croissants are on par with the best in Europe. There is no WiFi; sometimes too busy.

Was in town for a conference and needed a place to grab a quick bite and cup of coffee before heading to the convention center. The Thinking Cup was a gem! Our food was delicious, and the number of options surprised me — I went for a breakfast sandwich but they have many options that weren't "on the menu" so... More

We had breakfast here on a Saturday morning the cafe itself is very small and very busy you don't have a lot of room between tables but the food is great and there were a lot of locals which is always a good sign . Although there was a long que the service was quick was very well organised .

My friend and I each bought small Lattes to go. Mine had almond milk. Service was quick enough. Restroom was clean and roomy. Cafe inside was nice. It seemed to have lots of tables and lots of people, but it wasn't loud like some restaurants can be. Across from Boston Common near the big movie theater. The Lattes were delicious... More

We came across The Thinking Cup when we were about to start on The Freedom Trail. It was a good stat to the day. A lovely place to have coffee amongst very pleasant customers. After walking the Freedom Trail, we returned to The Thinking Cup for tea and cake in the late afternoon. Great service, lovely location. Well recommended.

Very busy on a Friday afternoon and sadly nowhere to sit but the coffee was delicious and the line went quickly. Nice location near the park too. Enjoyed our coffees very much!

Nice Atmosphere, good little local coffee shop. Best view toward the common. Often crowded and kind of hard to find seat. Delicious dessert.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
