The food is absolutely amazing. Pricey but worth it. Went to the bar after dinner for drinks and the bartender was very sweet and nice offered... More

My friends and I came here for a celebration and it was terrible. We decided to come here because I've been here once prior a few years ago. It was great then, but I can't say that now. The service was not 5 stars, more like 1 star restaurant. I have never been horribly served in a 5 star restaurant... More

I went twice (one for a birthday celebration and one for business dinner). The ambiance and decor are wonderful. The food is too meat-based, very few seafood options and not that impressive, just average. I have to say, though, that my friends who eat meet found it amazing (especially the duck). Service is great. Overall, expensive.

...we took friends out to dinner on Christmas Eve Eve (the 23rd). We all agreed that it was the perfect dining experience. The food continues to surpass all expectations. The service was impeccable...attentive yet not overbearing. Definitely could become a holiday tradition.

My hubby and I ate here on a Monday after Christmas. We dined on duck confit and lobster gnocchi to start. Before and after we were treated to an amazing amouse bouche and a chefs taster. Our mains were venison and chicken. Dessert was the brûlée and persimmon gateaux. These mear words do not convey the quality and intensity of... More

We spent several dinners at the restaurant and we always enjoyed ourselves. Up scale American\French cuisine with great local ingredients. The venue is very nice and inviting and the wine list is long and impressive. A great place for a romantic dinner or dinner for a special occasion.

We had a phenomenal dinner last Saturday at Deuxave! There were 6 of us, and between all of us we were able to sample quite a bit of the menu. My favorites were the Long Island Duck and the Venison. Both were tender and incredibly delicious. I also took a forkful of the Crispy Chick and the Bolognese and did... More

This is a very good fine dining restaurant. The menu provides a good variety of choice. We found the staff were very engaging and knowledgable. For me the Truffles were the highlight. Great meal, thank you.

Co-Owners Brian Piccini, Executive Chef Christopher Coombs & General Manager/Sommelier Jason Irving are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant's American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave's (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
