Handy for the Common and Beakon Hill if in need of a beer. Like all local bars there's TV everywhere in which to watch the footie!

Located across the street from the Granary Burying Ground and Sam Adams grave. This pub serves a Sam Adams Beantown Brew only available here. Staff is very friendly. We sat at the bar and had a beer, but there is food service. Nice pub to relax in after a day of walking and a good meal. Near public transportation at... More

We visited this pub on a busy and hot Saturday afternoon and it's fair to say the servers were struggling with demand - and that didn't help our experience. We found our own spot along the wall - and eventually ordered our own beers at the bar - before quietly enjoying them during a brief rest on our walking tour... More

Recommended by our tour guide I tried the Beantown Pub for a pre-show meal and was very happy with my decision. Very central location in the heart of downtown Boston, this pub combines both great food with a really lively atmosphere. Definitely not a spot for cosy, quiet dinners for two the Beantown Pub is perfect for meeting friends, eating... More

This is kind of a historic sight! It has history and there's much more history across the street at a historic cemetery. The bar is at best, a bar! The bathrooms need some bleach and lightbulbs! The place is not kept up well and they need more staff as is displayed by their "help wanted" sign in the window!! There... More

Great service and nice selection of games. The staff was totally great when I asked them to put on my team's game. The music was a bit loud, but it's bar!

I was in town for a conference and also to see some of the historic sites and stayed in the Omni Parker House - this pub was literally a block away, immediately across from the Granery Buring Ground. They had a lot of beer options and very tasty pub food. In fact, it was so convenient and good. I had... More

This was our first and last stop while in the city. Very popular place, very busy with tourists and locals. Right across from the historical Granary cemetery. This pub has a great variety of beer, nachos were awesome!!! Try them with buffalo chicken. They will not disappoint. We watched college hockey with local fans and had s great time.

Good beer choices, good food and great location. It has that old pub look and feel to it, which is what I liked.

Located across from the Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel, my colleagues and I used the Beantown pub as the base for our stay at Boston. We visited here every day over our 6 day stay and got the opportunity to sample the majority of the items on the breakfast and evening menu's - pretty decent meals. Got very busy during the... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
