Great service. Had a salsa bar in the front with some heat to it. Being from around Tampa and Ruskin, I am a bit spoiled with Mexican and Caribbean Latino foods. Had plenty of food and with a good kick to it. Better than expected.

Authentic in every way. The food was fresh, flavorful, and filling. Mild bean dip with chips, Mexican music, rice and beans good with white cheese on beans. I had beef flautas. My husband had plain ground beef tacos. Excellent service!
I took my family out to eat yesterday to Papa's and Beer in Asheville, as was recommended. Upon getting a table, we all go to the restroom to wash our hands before our meal. We come back and there's a huge bowl of guacamole on...the table, and hadn't even ordered our drinks yet. We assumed that it must be complimentary as none of us were at the table. We all ordered our meals, which were between $12-15 a piece, three soft drinks at $3 a piece, and then we got the receipt. $75 FOR THREE PEOPLE BECAUSE THE GUACAMOLE THAT WE DID NOT ORDER WAS $12!!! COMPLETE RIP OFF! BEWARE IF YOU EAT HERE, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR ITEMS YOU DID NOT ORDER WHILE YOU'RE NOT EVEN AT YOUR TABLE YET!!! The food is good, but VERY DECEPTIVE SERVICE!More
ordered 2 taquitos chicken, well menu said chicken, no chicken in these just alot of filler, masa maybe definitely not chicken at $6.49 could at least put chicken, bet less than an ounce of chicken
Spectacular Mexican food, especially the table prepared guacamole! Went with family after a day on the river, and we were famished. Generous portions allowed take home boxes for several of us.
Casual Mexican restaurant with an authentic feel. I have never seen a Mexican menu with so many items to choose from. You could be there half the night deciding. I focused in on an are and ordered fajitas. Service was quick and we had a...food quickly. Wife had a chili rellano platter. My friend had a sampler platter. I've never seen a plate that big with that much food! A little bit of everything. All agreed the food was very good and there was plenty of it. They also had great drinks and a self serve salsa bar. Quite a lot of food. No way to finish it all. Oh, and I must mention, all this food at VERY reasonable prices. I can't wait to go again.More
We were on vacation in Asheville so decided to have dinner here. It was close to our hotel, reviews were good and parking was very easy. We sat outside on newer picnic type tables, the server took our order and we were served within 15...minutes! The steak fajitas for two was excellent! Delicious, quick and reasonably priced! I would rate them five/five!More
Food was just OK this time, service not great, They are now adding a "non-cash fee" onto your bill, then they say you get a cash "discount" if paying cash. That is NOT a cash discount and it's NOT ethical. Even though it's just a...few dollars, I won't be back and I'm spreading the word!More
Absolutely fabulous, a waiter was extraordinarily kind. The food was amazing. The refried beans were like none other. The only thing that I would change is have a smaller portion of menu available.
We drove by looking for a meal and saw this restaurant packed with cars on a Sunday night. I cant imagine anyone giving this Mexican fare less than 5 stars. They are busy busy so be patient. The food is worth it. Don’t over order....The quantities are very generous. Best fajitas we’ve ever had.More
Love this place. Food is great, had Papa’s Fajatias which has steak, chicken and shrimp. Portions are large. Prices are reasonable. Margaritas are excellent. I will be back.
Great casual Mexican restaurant near our hotel. Food was excellent, service great, prices good. Lots to choose from. Little wait on Sat night
WOW! Best Mexican food I've had outside of Texas. My draft beer was so delicious and cold, it had ice chips in it. We're already planning a return trip to Asheville and Papas.
OMG! A must when in Asheville. Absolutely amazing food, drinks and service. Walked in and sat down. Chips and bean dip on the table. Drinks right after. Ordered and food within 5 minutes. The food is amazing! This is a definite go back to!
We go to Asheville once a month and usually eat here and I always get the Mexico City tacos. Yesterday they were different because they don’t put Pico Dialo on them and instead they were loaded with to many very strong onions. I also notice...the chicken was very dry and looked like they were using pre grilled frozen chicken because the chicken had those fake uniform grill marks. I asked the waiter what happened and he said that’s how they are made now with the new menu change. I’m very disappointed and I’ll be going a couple of blocks down the road to Ole Guacamole for Mexican food.More
