We are new to the area and ate here tonight for the first time. My wife had the eggplant parmesian and I had the lasagna; we split a spinach salad. We enjoyed our food. The portions were large. And the food tasted good.

This place used to be awesome. Owners have changed, the pizza seems to have changed, maybe I've changed? Something about the pizza is different - maybe the sauce? Not sure. Regardless this is a really nice place to go on a date or bring the family. There is a bar you can sit at and the waitstaff have always been... More

Nice crust with just enough sauce (we do not like a lot of sauce), cheese was good, I believe they make their own mozzarella. We ordered the large 18in with four veggie toppings. Toppings are $2 each, not a total of $2. Pizza was ready in about 15 minutes after ordering, but we were there shortly after they opened, so... More

We eat here on average once week and would say that they make the best pizza in Asheville. Their desserts are absolutely the best so save room for it.

My wife and I went to Marco's because it was on the way home. We were very pleasantly surprised by the service and the quality of the food. We will be back.

Went for lunch with my coworkers. Great menu selection. I ordered the 'Brian's Hero' in the pizza bread with roasted potatoes. Excellent sandwich. Tasty, hot when it arrived, and it was tough to finish the whole thing! I will be going back again

I've been here several times, and this is BY FAR my favorite pizza place in Asheville! The staff is always friendly, and I've never had to wait long for service. I would highly recommend this place!

After spending the day at Mt Mitchell and Mt Craig, we were famished and craving a pizza. Marco's was well-rated so we decided to give it a shot. It wasn't until our small pie arrived that we realized Marco's doesn't serve traditional pizza. As it turns out, it was a pleasant surprise. Despite being a little greasy and a bit... More

We ordered a simple pie with just pepperoni to take home. By the time we got home (4 miles) to eat it the whole pie was soggy. It was like it had been dipped in dish soap soggy. We couldn't even eat it. We threw away the whole pizza. I have personally heard great reviews about this place and in... More

Description
Marco's Pizzeria continues the family business started in 1933 of cooking unparalleled New York-style pizza in two locations in Asheville, North Carolina. Marco's Great Uncle Patsy started the family's first pizzeria when he expanded the offerings of his ice cream parlor to include the uniquely New York-Italian dish. Patsy's Pizzeria in Harlem originally used a coal-fired oven to create a crust that is thin and crisp on the outside. Today, the fourth generation of pizza-makers in Marco's family continues to use Patsy's recipe and methods to create a dish that is unlike anything else available outside New York.
