I've given this place two tries. The flavors were lacking. My entrees were just never satisfying. I feel like people only go here, because it's decent quality and cheap. So many other better restaurants around.

Went to Doc Chey's for dinner one weekend evening. We went early, which was good because the restaurant is small. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was obviously made to order and very fresh. My only complaint was that I could not decide what to order!

A great noodle shop. My wife and I stopped there for lunch and shared Pad Thai noodles along with some spring rolls and steamed buns. Dr. Chey’s is a combination of multiple Southeastern Asian countries noodle dishes served in large soup bowls and all the other fun Asian crockery and serving pieces. The food was delicious and service was very... More

The appetizers were fantastic - especially the green beans and potstickers. When it came to the noodles, however, they were just OK. I got the curry house specialty and it needed sauce badly - very dry. I had asked if it was spicy and they said no, but I found it to be a spicy spice mix in the noodles.... More

The Singapoere noodles were very tasty and came in a large bowl. The staff were great; all over a great experience.

The first time experience in this place was our last night in Asheville, so very bummed out with the whole scene. The place was packed, so it must be popular... but maybe people don't know the difference between delicious and mediocre Asian cuisine. The hostess moved at a snail's pace and didn't have any charisma. The music was loud, inappropriate... More

Doc Chey's is the goto place for noodles and other Asian infuenced dishes in downtown Asheville. It's got great service, delicious food and it's smack dab in the middle of everything.

Doc Chey's is located in downtown Asheville right on the main drag (so to speak). The street is a favorite for people gathering to check out the Asheville scene at night. (lots of restaurants, bars, shops etc.) Despite the crowded street, there was not a long wait to get seated. The service was good and prompt. I got the Szechwan... More

Definitely not a must visit. But their food is good and I do not have any knocks against the restaurant. I wasn't blown away by the food though.
