I was happy to chance upon Early Girl Eatery for a fast dinner during a work visit to Asheville. Because I ordered the fried chicken, the dinner was not that fast, and unfortunately the wait-person mixed up my order so that I was given black...More

Cute spot in an awesome location! Food was great and was the perfect start to our day in Asheville! Worth the wait with plenty to do in the area while you wait! Parking garage is near for convenience.

Everyone says this place is a great place to eat. Not! It is a dump. Hard to find, wading through the homeless. HalF the waiters look like druggies. Very basic furniture. Food, however, was ok. Parking also an issue. Use the parking deck down the...More

Conference over - we wanted one more meal in Asheville. Found this place in what seemed like an alley, but was Wall St. Great southern style, even to the screen door on the front. Everything was delicious, and service was great!

Great place to have lunch. Service was great and the food was great. French fries were fantastic. The avocado sprout sandwich was great. Needed a bit more hummus, but otherwise well worth it.

I guess there were lots of options on the menu, but it was nice for we travelers to find sweet potatoes and biscuits represented. Really enjoyed my sausage and sweet potato scramble. The pumpkin ginger and banana quick breads were a nice teaser.

Had a nice lunch at Early Girl. It's a friendly attractive place for a meal in hip downtown Asheville (be aware that parking is an issue in this city). I had the catfish, and it was one of the best renderings of this I've had....More

I believe so. For instance they use croutons made out of grits for their salads. I had a friend with Celiacs visit me here, and we found that it's pretty easy to find gluten free options in most restaraunts. There is a... More
