Zambra is a pretty place, with a relaxing, exotic-ish atmosphere. There's a decent menu from which to choose something that strikes your mood, and service was attentive and friendly. I wasn't particularly blown away by the tapas though. We have a couple of incredible tapas...More

Asheville has a number of tapa places and this definitely needs to be added to the top of the list! You'll need a reservation to get seated. It's very Moroccan in design and so were some of their dishes. We ordered 4 (papas bratas, pomegranate...More

The menu is extensive and food is thoughtfully prepared. We were 2 and we ordered 7-8 small plates: seared scallops, octopus, gnocchi, trout, lamb chops....the last 2 needing a bit more salt but otherwise creative and inventive . Flan and flourless chocolate cake finished off...More

I love Zambra's because there are small but very yummy plates and you can moderate your meal however you choose. The menu is far ranging so anyone can find something to eat here. I would say the wine list is not my favorite - heavy...More

We love a good wine bar, add tapas and it right up our ally. We enjoy the nibbling over a bottle or two of wine evening. Unfortunately a couple of things overshadowed what could have been a great dinner. Firstly, although I had made a...More

Tapas and more! Great atmosphere for romance and fine food! So many selections and they can work around allergies to nuts and seafood just fine! Expect an evening of beauty with fine food and elegance.

Tapa place with great food and great service. Kind of eclectic, which was fun. Bit of a bar crowd too, which was fun. Totally enjoyable and satisfying experience.

Loved this place. Very nice with a great ambiance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a large assortment of tapas, but the gnocci has to be my favorite. I could have licked the bowl after we were done. All the food was...More

If you look on their permanent menu (on the website), some of the dishes show two prices. The second price is for the item as an entree. We were told the entrees were quite large and are sometimes split.

Our dynamic menu is the passion of Executive Chef Adam. Adam has attained many influences through his training in Europe and New Orleans. Zambra is his modern vision of the tastes and flavors of the western Mediterranean: Spain, Portugal, Gypsy, and North Africa. As an appropriate accompaniment, we have assembled the region's finest selection of Spanish and New World wines. We have been awarded the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and our wine list has been voted the best in Asheville.
