We have found Tupelo Honey Cafe a great place for breakfast or lunch. We've tried both locations - Hendersonville Highway and downdown on College St -- which is our favorite. The energy around Patton Ave and the park is always entertaining and a good meal at Tupelo puts you in the heart of the city.

After a pretty long drive, and exhausting first day, we decided to treat ourselves with a nice sit down meal downtown. Tupelo was actually on our list for breakfast/brunch, but as we walked by and checked out the menu, we decided we should try it out. We didn't have reservations, but pretty much had our run of the place for... More

We really loved the restaurant. We asked for a table in the beginning of our tour in downtown and came back after 2 hours when the table was ready. Everything was generous and tasty. The chicken pancakes were awesome.

This is my 3rd visit over several months. Each time I've tried something different and it's been very good. This time I had the pulled pork with a side salad and the new and improved Mac and cheese. The complimentary biscuits with blueberries preserves are always fresh, hot, and worth the carbs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.... More

Great new take on southern comfort food. My wife tried the fried chicken and loved it. I got the pan seared trout and it was great. One of the best aces to go in Asheville.

Had the chicken breast sandwich with a side of Brussel Sprouts. Best fried chicken I've ever had. My husband, who won't eat Brussel sprouts, ate half of them they were so good. The portion was so large, I couldn't have eaten them all myself. Husband had the small plate of fried goat cheese and loved it. The biscuits served with... More

The restaurant was small, but nicely decorated, and the service was very friendly and attentive. The homemade biscuits and Tupelo Honey started the meal off right. We moved onto fried green tomatoes with an excellent sauce, and then for our entrées we had the shrimp and goat cheese grits with roasted red pepper sauce. It was very flavorful with more... More

Great spot in central downtown. The menu is varied with a lot of comfort food staples and some twists. You get delicious, fresh biscuits with honey and their own blueberry preserves while you wait for your food. It can be a bit loud and there's often a wait but it's worth it. Try their special lemonade, it's delicious. The location... More

We have only praise for Tupelo Honey Cafe. This was our first visit and the food is outstanding and you won't walk away hungry. The biscuits are fantastic and their blue berry jelly is to write home about. You need to try this restaurant if you haven't.

Description
Our Southern dishes and libations are served with a creative twist and a smile, and we serve our guests nothing that we wouldn't want on our own supper table. When we play with our food (and we think it's okay), the result is scrumptious. We're rooted in the Mountain South, and our menu is inspired by time-honored traditions: pickling and frying, canning and preserving, and utilizing seasonal produce and ingredients to prepare delicious, scratch-made creations.
