I had heard and read so much about Tupelo Honey we had to try it. I don’t know if it was the crowded tables or lackluster service but not my favorite experience. My husband had the Shakshuka, he said it was a little tepid in...More

I know this is a highly rated restaurant, popular with tourists, but it really fell short of expectations. The bar is very high in Asheville, so there are many, many better restaurants. I ordered buttermilk fried chicken, it turned out to be boneless, skinless breasts,...More

We love Tupelo Honey! We visit every couple of years and are happy to say the food is consistently delicious. For this southern girl, the biscuits are where it's at - delicious, light and fluffy! I am also a fan of fried green tomatoes and...More

One of the few places open in downtown Asheville when we arrived. Food was excellent. Large portions. Good service. Would definitely recommend when visiting!

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. The biscuits are the best I have ever eaten in my life and no matter what we got and it is so delish. There is always a bit of a wait because it's so awesome but it is...More

I went to Tupelo Honey on Hendersonville Rd in south Asheville with a friend, her daughter whom I taught, as well as the daughter "of the daughter", making three generations! The Steakhouse Salad, which had flat-iron steak*, green beans, cherry tomatoes, chopped bacon, fingerling potatoes,...More

I'm not sure but I wasn't all that satisfied with this place I think there are better restaurants in the area, I'd check with some of the locals while you are there in the area.

Description
Our Southern dishes and libations are served with a creative twist and a smile, and we serve our guests nothing that we wouldn't want on our own supper table. When we play with our food (and we think it's okay), the result is scrumptious. We're rooted in the Mountain South, and our menu is inspired by time-honored traditions: pickling and frying, canning and preserving, and utilizing seasonal produce and ingredients to prepare delicious, scratch-made creations.
