Chestnut is an American restaurant. We are in a 1920s era building in downtown Asheville, right across for the Aloft hotel and the double decker coffee bus. Parking is plentiful (and cheap) at the public deck under the Aloft Hotel.

Although dinner is probably wonderful, we went for lunch. The lunch sandwiches were well prepared and flavorful (Reuben and roast beef). We shared a piece of cheesecake for dessert, which was also great. Find a metered spot on the street or use the nearby parking...More

We were there on a Saturday morning. We were seated promptly. Our food was excellent and all of the other dishes we saw looked great.

Happily recommend this restaurant. The food is creative and authentic. It's one of my go-to restaurants in Asheville. Originally from Chicago.

Hands down the best brunch and meal we had in Asheville! Deviled eggs are a MUST! Hubby had the eggs Benedict and said they were the best he’s ever had. Already can’t wait to return on our next trip to Asheville!
