I've eaten here several times and the food is always good. Lots of cozy areas to sit unlike the large area restaurants with lots of tables. Always specials of the day. Their Meatloaf, Romanian tenderloin, Lobster wraps, are just a few of the unique items on the menu.

Driving around Homestead we drove past the White Lion and it had a look of an inviting nature. We weren't wrong with that assumption. A beautiful older house re-purposed to a restaurant with a nice outdoor patio are as well has plenty of tables. We loved the look and feel of the inside but with cooler weather wanted to eat... I went to this place with 2 lady friends. Way too loud. Not a friendly server at all. She gave us one bill. We asked her to separate it. She said we should have told her first!!! She said. Didn't you read it in the menu? Very rude middle aged woman. We had to ask for everything! Is this what... More

I have been here twice and and left very satisfied both times. This is a unique dinning experience reminding guests of long-ago Homestead. The food was excellent both visits and all of us left full. Both indoor and outdoor dining are available but if you want the ambiance you'll need to eat inside. I look forward to going back.

My wife and I live in the Keys. We did a little mini staycation in Homestead to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Most of Homestead is either chain restaurants, or Latin food. Don't get me wrong I love a little Tex Mex from time to time. But we're looking for something a little special. We happened upon the White Lion Cafe,... More

I'm from New England, and their clam chowder was delicious. I also had the steak sandwich plate and it too was tasty, although the steak was a little tough at one end. I walked away very satisfied and extremely full after a late lunch.

The White Lion Café is housed in a 100-year old building with terrific antiques scattered around. Good food and there is an outdoor dining area great for events.

We just arrived to Homestead for a move and stayed our first night in a hotel. I wanted a pet friendly restaurant so my poor little dog wouldn't be alone howling in a hotel room. This was the only pet friendly restaurant. It was a Tuesday, so there wasn't a large dinner crowd. I was super happy with the food!... More

The White Lion has been a family favorite restaurant of mine for the past 12 years. Lori and her staff are top notch. They all make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. It's a "At home with the family" feeling that you get when you dine at White Lion. The menu has a little bit... More

This place was recommended by a friend and it is a quaint and homey place. It used to be a little antique shop. The food is good, fresh salads and the piccata was really good. The waiter was very accomodating and changed our order willingly since we wanted what the people in the next table had. The dessert portions are... More
