This place reminded me (I've been out of TX for a while) how good the BBQ is here in Texas. No frills good food. Friendly staff (I applaud their hiring practices...they and the locals will know what I mean) that are attentive and quick. Good value for the money. Since it isn't on the main drag, you have to know... More

We had a biz meal with a catered lunch. Food was excellent. Ample quantities. Nice work. Would highly recommend for large groups.

I've been to many barbeque restaurants across Texas. There aren't many choices to pick from in Del Rio, but out of the choices you do have if you should live or travel in Del Rio, Rudy's is your best bet for great barbeque and great service. A friendly country atmosphere surrounds the place and the restaurant is quite spacious which... More

Coming to Texas I expected bbq to be something special. The food was good, staff extremely friendly and fast and the atmosphere was impressive. I was disappointed that there was nothing special about the food. I guess I've been spoiled by my hubbies talent at cooking outstanding bbq.

If you like McDonalds you will like Rudy's. Approximately the same nutritional value but with more "theatrical" surroundings. You may have guessed - we don't like McDonalds. At Rudy's we felt similarly "processed". Food produced in bulk somewhere and then warmed up. Brisket OK but the toasted bread was just picked off a pile of ready cooked bread. It was... More

So affordable! Beef brisket was extremely lean. Cute country atmosphere. Good BBQ sauce...Wimpy version.

Small portions , no fries just chips. Not what I consider good bbq. Meat was tender. We left hungry after a $25 bill and went to McDonald's.

Loved the lunch, sides are just as good as the main course, loved the Green Chile. Had Smoked Turkey, Green Chile, and homemade Cream Corn.

While traveling to Big Bend, we stopped for 2 nights in Del Rio. Having done my due diligence of researching restaurants and reviews, I had pretty much decided if we chose BBQ to visit a different BBQ place. However, while checking in, I asked the clerk for suggestions and she suggested Rudy's. I asked about the other BBQ place and... More

I had a great meal and experience at Rudy's in Del Rio. Food was phenomenal. I really liked everything I had. The staff was great at helping me. I also go to watch the game while I ate. It may not be for everyone as you sit at communal picknik tables and have to clear off your own dishes. But... More
