I'm quite a fan of Asiatic food. This restaurant is really good! First key criteria, only Asian client in. service is nice and fast enough. Prices are correct. Be aware they don't take credit card: only cash ...

The Capital Restaurant is about three blocks from the Hilton in the Financial District and serves Chinese cuisine. The waitress was very friendly, and the food was good. I had the Kung Po Shrimp and my wife had the Shrimp and Broccoli. We ordered egg rolls, but the veggies inside were mushy.

We were there at about 5pm and it was pretty full. Mostly Chinese people what gives you the feeling to be at the right place. We didn't feel to welcome at this place. The prices were as high as Chinese restaurants are. Plastic glasses and dishes-also normal. I took a dinner menu and at the end they forgot the tea... More

Whilst on holiday we found a little bar and the bar man recommend this restaurant. We weren't disappointed. Excellent service from the waitress. Portions are large and very tasty. We honestly wouldn't have gone in without the recommendation but so pleased we did.

for whatever reason, just happen to be a tourist attraction and the price is gone up. I only orders my favorite items, Fried Chicken Wings and Beef Chow Fun. The good thing, you can seat at the bar table if you are by yourself otherwise the place pretty packed during lunch time.

Wife and I went on 2-18. We went based on other reviews. We were not disappointed with the food. The quality is good and portions are plenty. Our only issue was that they do jot take credit or debit cards. Cash only. I M glad that I happen to have enough cash in my pocket as our lunch was $35.... More

Grant St. is the main strip in SF Chinatown, where tourist hordes flock so you might conclude it's a more expensive and touristy place. It has a bunch of restaurants, but we opted for this one in a side street. It is in Clay St. somewhere around the middle between Grant and Stockton. From the window you can see it's... More

We stopped just for takeout potstickers Christmas Day and noticed the restaurant was busy and with what looked to be more locals than tourists, so made sure we made a trip back for a full dinner. It was worth it! Avoid the long lines and over-priced restaurants on the main strip and try a less-expensive, delicious and traditional Chinatown experience... More

We visited the Capital for a take away one evening on the way home to our hotel. The restaurant itself is pretty nice, typical diner style I would say. A wall decorated in photos of celebrities that have visited which is cool to look at while waiting for your food. The food itself is pretty tasty and at a decent... More

As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
