Smaller cozy restaurant tucked away in the back walkway behind the multitudes of food showcases that basically all sell the same seafood. Got there before noon and had to sit at the counter or wait for a table. Their lunch specials are a particularly good value. I had the fish and chips which was light and crispy. It came with... We got the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl from the street front. It was delicious. The two of us split it for lunch and it was more than enough food, especially if you are heading to ghirdelli afterwards ;)

Considering this is right on Fisherman's Wharf I thought for sure it would be over -priced... I couldn't have been more wrong! It's delicious fresh seafood and a good portion at a reasonable price. The staff is really pleasant and they didn't rush us... especially since it was a Sunday and they were super busy. Of course the sour dough... More

Great location at Fisherman's Wharf. The prices are reasonable and they treat you like a king in the inside seating. The Fish and Chips were excellent as was the sourdough bread. I would definitely go back. As an added bonus, they will comp your parking.

Great choice for comfortable setting with great food. No view while dining, but the food should be the highlight and this place won't disappoint. Ask whats locally fresh as that will vary by season and choose from there. Had calamari sautéed in white wine and mushrooms with Manhattan (red) clam chowder. Good flavor and ingredients. Wine is reasonable by the... More

There is nothing like a crab louie from the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf! Such a treat last week when we went in there and I finally got to place my order. It was scrumptious and loaded with crab. The wait staff at Sabella La Torre is very knowledgeable and very, very attentive. Truly a great place to eat. I give... More

We had lunch here and had the best crab sandwich ever. It was so fresh and the waiters were great. The restaurant is located down at Fishermans Warf.

We were having a hard time choosing a seafood restaurant at the wharf, so we decided to go here. We both got the grilled crab cakes which came with a cup of New England chowder soup. Good thing the crab cakes were delicious (they came with homemade cocktail sauce) because the soup was terrible. It was thick like wallpaper paste... More

To be fair, Denise, I was disappointed to read your review. We're quite well-known for our clam chowder, so I'm disheartened that ours failed to impress. You're right to expect the clam taste to truly shine through, so I hope you had a chance to bring this feedback up to a team member while you were in. However, I thank... More

It's not a ritzy restaurant but it's got some good dishes on the menu. Lobster is good, prawn salads less so, crab cakes are good, any pasta dish will be enormous. Service is straightforward American diner style. It's not particularly cheap but it's also not over the top expensive. Worth a visit.

Overall, I'm glad the food and service was worth the visit. Next time you're in the mood for lobster, crab cakes, or anything else while visiting the Wharf, I hope we can welcome you back. All the best, Tom More
