I was staying in a hotel across the road from Cafe Encore and decided to try it out for breakfast. The food selection for such a small little place was fantastic. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was told to try the Kano Mocha Frappuccino which was delicious. So delicious that I came back 2 days in a... More

After having read the positive reviews I decided to have a sandwich with coffee here. The turkey roasted pepper sandwich was not good. Turkey was still half frozen and roasted red peppers were very wet making the bread soaki wet. Latte was not good either with to little coffee and cooked milk.

We arrived at this location about 10 minutes after it was scheduled to open. There were two customers already being waited on so we waited our turn. However, after serving the two customers (likely friends) the lady who was opening rudely said "I have to put out the furniture" and walked to the front and started working on the furniture.... This place is exactly what you need to break off from crowded meetings and the noise of Union Square. Only 3-4 tables, but usually available, friendly & efficient, nice brunch food, and above all peaceful! It saved my day!

If you just want a quick bagel or croissant breakfast (or lunch) at reasonable prices, this is a nice place to go. Clean. Friendly service. We saw a lot of locals there, which is always a good sign. Limited seating, but most people grab and go.

Our family stayed down the street while visiting San Francisco. We stopped in here for breakfast on our first day (and then again two days later!). The kids and my husband ordered the breakfast sandwiches (croissants with egg, bacon, and cheese), and they said they were delicious (they smelled wonderful). I had these "raw" bars that they sold, and they... More

Quick, fresh food and coffee. A perfect place to start a busy day in San Francisco. Sandwich selection looked great but I did not partake.
