We visited the flagship location at the Wharf where you can watch the bakers make the sourdough bread in fancy designs. One can also shop for gourmet gifts in the marketplace. Then go and enjoy clam chowder in Bakery & Cafe in Baker's Hall. Next time, we will explore the museum and relax at their full-service restaurant.

Great place for lunch, for fast light, quality soups, sandwiches. You cannot go wrong with a Boudoin eatery...and the sour dough bread is true San Francisco!

Its the smell of the baking that draws you in as it seems that they are baking bread throughout the day. You can walk by the large windows and watch the bakers while they work. We were there for breakfast two days in a row, and there were people ordering the chowder in a bread bowl both times. We tried... More

I ate here with my daughter for lunch. We decided to share some appetizers since we were going out to dinner that night. We got the baked goat cheese, crab cocktail and arctic char ceviche, and of course ate our weight in delicious sourdough bread! The goat cheese was so delicious! By far our favorite! Everything else was yummy as... More

I was hoping for more especially considering the price. Overall it was good, waiting for your food is a challenge jockeying for position in the small area. They should bring it to your seat to relieve the congestion. The bakery, however, is to die for...

I bought a ham & cheese sandwich for lunch, it was all bread and very little meat & cheese ... and quite dry ......for the price ....not worth it.

I have been here twice, the crab chowder is great! I returned and had a sandwich which was pretty average unfortunately. Would have the chowder again. It can be very busy and difficult to get a table.

Lovely food. Everyone enjoyed their food. The crab was a particular favorite. Our only negative was the service which wasn't very friendly, though at the same time very professional. If only our server had been a little more friendly!

We're trying to get a quick bite prior to an Alcatraz trip. Food was good. We had a few breakfast egg wraps which were very good portions. Bakery items are good as well. It did take awhile to get our food which almost made us miss our tour. Overall it was pretty good. Would consider again.
