We stay at the Palace Hotel nearly every month, and have had the pleasure to dine at the Garden Court on most of those visits. In December, 2016, we only were at the Palace for a very short, one-night stay, but I had Breakfast in the Garden Court. Unfortunately, my wife had early meetings, so I was solo. The room... More

Beautiful stunning place to sit. Really a lounge but very dreamy. Saw it in a movie. The hotel was great as well. Really first rate rooms as well

Yes, their brunch is expensive. BUT, their food is of the highest quality. I don't eat out much, so it is worth it to me to eat high quality food. Beautiful vegetables and fruit, delicious baked goods and pastries, eggs benedict that is extremely delicious.

The decor was very beautiful. The staff were at very efficient, making you feel very special and kind of hovered around you to make sure your experience was a positive one. The food was outstanding.

The food is OK and a bit expensive - but come for the atmosphere. By all means, order a drink - perhaps something delicate with too many ingredients and colors not normally found in nature - then sit back and contemplate how fortunate we are that a room like this still exists.

I loved that some of the old favorites are still on the menu with some new items added. The have also added casual meals in the GC Lounge open longer hours for a quick bite, morning, noon, or night.

The Market Salad was forgettable. $16 for a small salad of mostly lettuce. The slices of asian pear were paper thin and not sweet at all. Our burger was ordered medium and the meat was mostly pink inside. Tasted good though but not enough to spend $31 for it again). My first cup of coffee was lukewarm and then my cup... More

We were often ignored and the service once we were waited on was unsatisfactory. Because breakfast was included we were ignored by wait staff.

The scene makes it all. The food is high-end business hotel breakfast. All excellent quality and cooked correctly, but how excited can you get for full American breakfast. Its as good here as anywhere, but you get to eat it in this gem of a room.

Thank wxzzy

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
