Highly overpriced food that is no better than cafeteria food. The calamari was fried horribly.. The staff is extremely short with you and does not care about you comfort. Will not recommend. Will not be coming back. There is many other place is right nearby that will have better food for way less money.

My family of six and I ate here for a late lunch after walking around Chinatown. You can easily miss it if you're not careful but thankfully my daughter spotted it. We rolled the dice on eating here as none of knew anything about it. Though Chinatown was busy and the restaurant itself had steady clientele for the afternoon we... More

The food was good but be warned as a few of the waiters English language is very limited. They are also a bit rude at times. If you want to ask them any questions about the menu or anything else then they won't understand you. The waiter also seemed annoyed that we didn't eat all of our duck, I tried... More

They served the best Egg-Foo Young I ever had! The Wonton soup was even better! This place looks like a dive when you first walk in, but the service is great, the flavors delicious, and I would go back tomorrow!

We arrived here around 7pm and were seated without too many issues but after that the service was poor. The food was ok. Nothing special and was good value as it wasnt expensive. I wouldnt re-visit though and didnt bat an eye at leaving without tipping.

We stopped in for a light meal. Service was very good. Food was good. The building was charming. There were a lot of interesting things to look at! Beautiful horse sconces on the wall.

We randomly stopped in this restaurant for lunch while we were wandering around Chinatown. The waiter had a little bit of a time understanding the requested changes to our order, so I'll admit I was a little concerned. None of the dishes come with rice, and if you want fried rice it's $11 for a big bowl, but $1.50 for... More

Nice dim sum (fresh and bought to the table in stages) and good prices, as confirmed by Mrs P who is half-Chinese and the daughter of a restauranteur. Our waiter was attentive, but looking around the (rather quiet and lacking in atmosphere) dining room, not all were quite so lucky. I was struck by the absence of local trade; pretty... More

Fried rice with shrimp and pork, enough to feed four people, was only $11. The food was good, the service was fast, and compared to everything else we found in the area - a real bargain.

Went solo on a Saturday night and was seated quickly. Had a half order of potstickers with dumpling sauce and their special Scallops with Chinese melon. Potstickers were fantastic, Scallops were minced in a sauce over the melon. No idea what Chinese melon is but it was so good. Had my first saki, which was quite good, served warm. My... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
